My Cavoodle x Molly unfortunately died from Kidney Failure on 1.10.2020She was shy of turning 9.......be aware, if you take your dog in to a vet with illness, e.g, loss of weight, (5.5kg) compared to last years weight .....not eating, coughing with fever, and your vet prescribes Meloxicam without the recommended bloods pathology and without diagnosis..e.g...a cause for illness other than fussy eater....Please do not give them to your pet without asking them why......Found out the hard way, had to watch my baby die...way before her time.......lack of communication, diagnosed with fussy eating, the vet failed to tell us her weight loss and diagnosis on the day of visit to Point Clare on the 17th August (Point Clare gave us the impression that Molly was suffering with Kennel Cough which Umina clarified on the 30th September as untrue)- if we had of known about her weight loss, we would of taken her to a professional vet to stabilise her underlying condition of Kidney issues instead of being sent away and told to come back if her cough was still present within 5 day (her cough disappearedwithin thattime frame), and later on, at Umina on the 30th September where they refused to see her 3 hours before her set appointment.Rude staff who believe they do not need to share vet notes or diagnosis of pets illnesses, leading to unnecessary death- traumatic is an understatement.168 West Street Umina, are not licensed and therefore must not use the term 'Clinic' or 'SurgeryIn it's description.

Biggest waste of time. We recently moved to the area and booked a consultation with them, hoping to have them as our regular vets. We had walked passed a few times and knew the building didn't look the best but that didn't bother us. However, the whole place is messy and it stinks. We spent $85 for a 10 minute consultation where the 'vet' just stared at us the whole time and tried to sell us medication we didn't want to buy. She literally didn't give us any feedback the whole time we were there, to the point we felt uncomfortable and decided to walk away. The only moment she actually said something was when she should grab medication off the shelf and try to convince us to buy it. She also grabbed some probiotic and shoved it in our dog's mouth. It was the most bizarre experience we've had in a veterinary clinic and my partner and I couldn't believe what had just happened. We booked a consultation as our dog had an infection two weeks but all the vet said was 'he looks healthy'. Do not waste your money!

New to the area and was worried about finding a good vet. I went in for a chat and the reception girl at Umina (Jade?) listened to my concerns about my elderly cat and was so helpful and compassionate. She booked me in with Crawford, a knowledgeable and kind veterinary who has been treating my cat for a few weeks now and only offers the best options for us. I have no problem recommending this surgery.

Caring and confident-put my dog and me at ease immediately. Very positive visitJust last week I lost my little rainbow lorikeet and as he can't really fly thought I'd never see him again . I called and discovered that a bird had been handed in and so I went to see although I really didn't have much hope. Due to the weather I arrived as Cameron was leaving but he took me in and there was Squawky. I big thanks to the people who found him and to the caring people at Umina and Point Clare vets. They really are the ones you want looking after your pets.

Very professional, caring and compassionate staff.. Sadly, we had to have our 16 year old cat put down yesterday but the 2 women there, the vet and her assistant, (sorry didn't get names) were excellent-- after they'd explained that Thomas would probably not get better, we made the difficult decision to say goodbye. there and then.. We weren't rushed and were treated with dignity and respect... Thank you.

My sons cat was extremely sick couldn't move , lift her head eat or drink. We were at the door at 8am. They took her straight in no tests no wasting time she had anaemia and the vet gave her a blood transfusion. There was no asking for money upfront and paperwork was done after the assessment and diagnosis. They really put the animals first ...

Crawford and the team are incredible. They have helped us through some difficult times with our puppy and we are always met with professionalism and care. They believe in the dog's wellbeing both mentally and physically and always consider any anxious traits they might have. They explain any condition, diagnosis and results in details in 'non-veterinary language' so we understand what is happening. They also care about us as owners - the amount of times I've reached out to them as a frantic pet owner and I have always been met with the same level of care, understanding and urgency it requires. Big THANK YOU to the team and specially Crawford for being amazing!

Crawford took time to explain various options and treatments and listened carefully to my concerns. I'm minding this dog, so Crawford checked his history before making any recommendations.

I have nothing but good things to say about Umina Vets and specifically Vet Crawford Moules. I recently had to have my 16 year old dog put to sleep and Crawford was so caring and compassionate. When i get another dog i will be going back there as the care she received through her life was first rate.
