Great War Memorial
In addition to the cenotaph the memorial has a QF 40mm AA gun. Details of the piece: MkI Barrel No.L/38530 1942 NM, MkI* Breech Casing No.L/15500 1942 M&A on unknown mounting (plate missing) and MkIII No.P8366 1942 BPM platform in carriage mode. Very interesting piece. The elevation gear is operable, so if you are going to take a photo, be sure to first elevate the gun to show off its AA abilities.
