Stunning location, excellent wines, and great service. The food is just outstanding. The staff have always been very friendly. Have been coming here for quite a few years now. It is one of the must stop places for anyone enjoying a holiday in the beautiful alpine region.

Stopped here for lunch otw to Falls Creek. Loved the wine tasting and lunch set. The beef short rib was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone! Staff were pleasant and accomodating :)

Visited Cellar Door the other week, to start the parking arrangements were terrible, once we had arrived the staff were poorly dressed & obviously clueless about the wines. I called the wine club number & spoke to someone called Louis or Louise prior to this booking who was nothing short of rude & unprofessional.Would not recommend!

We have visited Gapstead Wines several times and have never been disappointed. Today they were faced with major problems with gas supply and still managed to present a delightful modified lunch menu which speaks volumes for the professionalism of the chef. Staff are always so welcoming with a big shout out to Maria who does her job so well.

8 of us enjoyed the Tasting Lunch. Wonderful food and friendly service. Got really busy mid afternoon, which slows things down a bit... but then we were there to chill, so all good. Great food and wines

My girlfriends & I had a beautiful Sunday afternoon wine tasting, accompanied by the cheese & tasting platters.Wonderful service & food was amazing, all plates were empty upon collection.I really appreciated the staff accommodating for my gluten intolerance by supplying some GF bread & crackers, so I could join in on the platters.Can't wait to come back!

Loved their wines and food is so delightful with Beautiful scenic look out the Deck. Customer Service is no one priority, I would love to go back.Had their 3 courses with few different wines and loved them all.Would definitely suggest to everyone who loves to visit Northeast Victoria.

Entree and dessert servings were very small for $15-20, you'd expect a little more on the plate. Food was just 'ok', and does not live up to the high pricetag.Nobody can control the weather, but the tent customers sit in has an expensive heating and cooling system, yet the tent has huge gaps where the cold alpine wind howls in. Customers were offerred blankets, but that's not good enough. Close the the tent properly; customer comfort is important, and no doubt this will improve the experience for everyone. It has been like this since at least Sept 2022 according to another review I read. I overheard customers on other tables complaining too.

Thank you to Henry for the great and friendly service! They were short staffed but food came out quickly and service was prompt. We had the set menu which was beautiful and the wine to match with it was on point! Highly recommend and will return

Such a beautiful place with the restaurant overlooking the vineyard. The service was lovely and the food delicious. I ordered the pesto pasta and it was one of the best I've had. We did wine tasting afterwards and got to try so many different wines. My friends who like wine more than me enjoyed it. Overall highly recommended if you're in the area.
