We checked out this spot on a Wednesday for their Po' Boy deal, a classic New Orleans sandwich.Unfortunately, I found the sandwiches to be somewhat underwhelming. They were overstuffed (which might be intentional) which made them difficult to eat. The fried chicken pieces were too big and lacked the expected crispy crunch. The bread wasn't quite as crispy on the outside and soft on the inside as I had hoped, and the overall flavor profile was a bit muted. Okay overall, but I was hoping for that perfect combination of texture and bold flavors that I just didn't get.We also ordered the Louisiana Red Beans and Rice, which was a bit too heavy and had an overly tomato paste-y taste.Despite these shortcomings, the food was good value, and the friendly service and live music created a great atmosphere inside.While I wasn't blown away this time, I'm willing to give it another chance in the future

Haven't had a gumbo this good since New Orleans itself. You can tell by the depth of flavour that the chef is really passionate about what makes this cuisine special.On top of that the staff are friendly, the service is excellent and the bartender is devilishly handsome.

Loved this place so much! As a vegetarian it's great to have so many options available, particularly as part of the banquets. Great atmosphere and will definitely be back.

We'd been looking forward to trying this place for a while but it was a little bit underwhelming unfortunately.The staff were absolutely lovely though, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. But the food was a little bland and just missing that signature kick usually found in this cuisine. It also took a long time for the food to be served despite being the only customers in the restaurant. It was also quite hot inside which lead to a musty smell in the air. Like I said, the staff were amazing but the overall experience was just not quite what we were expecting.

Love the food! Tasty and sufficient portions for large groups. Friendly service and the little jazz band was good! I especially loved how the kitchen was run. So clean, neat and tidy and the owner was cleaning up as she cooked. I don’t think I’ve seen such a tidy kitchen! Will definitely be going there again! Thank you.

Just like going to mum's house - a generous feast, down to earth ambience, unpretentious delicious food, and exceptional service.Dorelle and team were so accommodating for our large group for my husband's birthday celebration - easy to deal with in the planning ahead of the night, a breeze on the night, and every single person in our 16 person party walked away having vowed to come back with their other friends and family.Most of all, my husband, who has been to and loves New Orleans, could not stop raving about the experience.All in all, a winner! Thank you Moldy Fig team.

We had actually gone to The Moldy Fig to hear some friends playing in the band. But the real surprise was experiencing a new cuisine, deliciously expressed and served by very friendly and helpful staff. We’ll be back because we want to explore that menu – and to support a venue that supports live music!

Fantastic food and drinks! Wonderful service!!The attention to detail is spot on. The flavours of the food and their condiments, the cocktails and mocktails, absolutely wonderful.A lovely place to go either solo or with a group, you won't be disappointed.The live music fits the atmosphere to a tee, without being so loud that you can't have a conversation.Lovely evening, and will be back soon!!
