Walkys - Dog Training Academy

Joining Walkys is the best thing I ever did for my dog. They not only train your dog, but train you as well, giving professional advice and tips to be able to handle any situation or problem you may be having with your precious pooch. My dog loves it there at Shellharbour Walkys, and it gives her valuable time with other dogs to socialise in a safe environment. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and I always know my dog is being well looked after and enjoying new experiences and introduced to new places. Please don't hesitate to give Walkys a go, they are absolutely fantastic.

I highly recommend Walkys. Our dog’s recall and commands have improved dramatically since starting and he absolutely loves being there. We can tell as he is excited to enter the facility. The trainers are are so warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn’t thank them enough.

Our 2-year-old rescue was anxious, confused and really not sure of how to confidently play with other dogs before bringing him to Walkys. Now he’s a happy and calm dog with fantastic play skills and consistent obedience. We’ve attended both the Bellambi and Shellharbour locations and I have to say the staff are just wonderful. They treat our pup like they were his own which is all an owner could wish for. I always feel at ease dropping him off knowing he’s in great hands.

It’s hard to find the words to sum up how much my partner and I love Walky’s. Our 1 year old kelpie x border collie has been attending K9 Ed since she was 5 months old, and it is the best thing we’ve done for her. She is a very high drive dog and requires lots of training. The trainers at Shellharbour go above and beyond each week, always maintaining consistent training and ensuring they’re working on the things we’re concerned about. It’s so comforting knowing that the trainers truly care for her and will give her the training and care she needs, and will always advocate for her. She gets so excited each day when we rock up to K9 Ed, and comes home absolutely exhausted. We’ve also done a private session with Nathan which was extremely helpful - he really knows how to communicate to both dog and owner in such a calm, easy to understand way. We’ll continue to work with him to make sure our dog is getting all of the support and training she needs. We are so grateful we found Walky’s, we would be lost without them!

The Walkys team are the most professional, attentive and passionate trainers we've ever met. We have a 2 year old rescue dog which has been challenging at times, but Walkys has helped him with his reactivity, leash walking and general obedience.The team are always so personal with their care for our pup, supporting us with whatever we're struggling with and giving us practical, achievable training tips.Our pup always comes home exhausted from an engaging and fun day, we couldn't fault this program and the beautiful people that run it.

Our 1-on-1 session was not only informative but transformative! My husband and I are so grateful for the guidance and support that we received from Nath. Penny was so receptive to him – it was amazing to watch. Nath demonstrated the (sometimes nuanced) methods and then had us do them, ensuring we were using the proper technique. Walkys has given us the confidence and strategies to improve our relationship with Penny. She has been doing well in heel and is getting better day-by-day with staying in place. We look forward to learning more from them and can’t thank them enough‼! We highly recommend Walkys to everyone!

My dog absolutely loves going to K9 Ed classes at Walkys. The trainers are amazing and he has learnt so much in such a short time being there. He listens a lot better and he is a lot more confident. Great place for dogs!
