Warringal Conservation Society
This is an excellent volunteer group in Melbourne, Australia, dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and natural habitats. It receives no government funding and all the work is done by volunteers. There are excursions to beautiful and interesting places such as Mt Rothwell sanctuary, as well as friendly and educational monthly meetings. Highly recommended - there is no politics, no religion, and everyone is welcome.
