Very helpful after hours service.

We had reason to call to assist with my father in law. A very pleasant man named Kevin took my call. He advised the crew had passed where we needed help. He would call me if there was a cancellation. In ten minutes he rang me to say theywere on the way. Kevin and the team were great. Many Thanks to them.

It was a Saturday afternoon. I was in excruciating pain with sciatica which I told the operator. I was home alone and couldn’t drive myself to the hospital. Got given by the Dr who attended, a prescription for nerve pain medication which takes three days to take effect. I asked for pain medication and was denied because she was not my regular Doctor! I think that was just an excuse because Dr’s can get sanctioned, whatever that entails (I googled it after) for prescribing strong medications so obviously she’d rather me suffer than do the right thing to help me. I’m sure they can tell from some data base that I had never been prescribed pain medication before in my life! I was obviously in a lot of pain and needed relief! Shame on the Dr! I ended up resorting to taking my husbands tramadol meds left over from a condition he had a few year back, thankfully he found them when he got home from work! I was charged $50 for this 10 minute visit which I was peeved about and I had decided I wasn’t going to leave a review, just send in a negative feedback form. Today however I found out that Medicare are also paying $131.90! That’s disgusting! The Dr and her sidekick who weren’t the most friendly of people and spent 10 minutes at my house! Isn’t $131.90 payment enough for this? How can they justify $181.90?? For doing nothing to help my immediate needs?? I’m really annoyed!

Just lost out one because of having to wait a while but can understand!! Covid and not really knowing how their other appointments are going. I'm just thankful there is service out there who come to my home, being a single mum and no one else to help me at hospital etc better waiting this long at home then in ed with 3 under 3 so, Thank you so much for what you guys do and I think we have to take into mind others appointments and how long they might need the doctor, I would rather a doctor who wants to do quality service then one who rushes just to get all appointments done !! We need to take everything in to consideration people.

I have used Get Better multiple times and find them friendly and very competent. It is great that there call takers triage every call that way they can make sure it is safe to stay at home instead of going to ED. It is great that I can wait in the comfort of my own home and be seen on the day I call instead of making an appointment with my GP for several days time especially when I am in pain I would rather wait for hours than days, and not have to pay a cent because its all covered by medicare.

The Doctor came well before the 3 hour time frame I was given which was good however if I were in a more serious condition a 3 hour wait would have been too long! When the young male Doctor arrived, he was in the company of another male and neither of them introduced themselves. The first thing that was said to me was Do you have your medicare card". Way to make the patient feel like it's not about the money! The young Doctor never sat down even though I was sitting down and When he finished they just walked out without a hand shake or goodbye. Was not a warm and friendly service at all and as the only woman I was not comfortable having to invite 2 men into my home when I was alone."

Absolutely outstanding service !!!! Friendly doctors, they came 2 hours after call out but I was more than happy with that, as you often wait at doctors surgeries for 1+ hours. Was given a 24 hour supply of antibiotics as I couldn’t get to the pharmacy until the next day. Will use this service again. Thanks so much !!!

Excellent service from start to finish. Didn’t wait long on the phone, was told the main doctor would be a few hours but the operator (who called us back rather than making us wait on hold) managed to get an auxiliary doctor to us within 10 minutes of us making the call. Doctor was friendly, reassuring, and capable. Would definitely use this service again.

I called at 6pm for my daughter. after waiting 3 hours I phoned back to see where i was on the list and how much longer it would be as my daughter very unwell . The lady on the phone said it should be about 1and half hours until the doctors come and see your daughter .I receive a text message at 10:37pm saying they are on their way . It’s currently 12:20 am and they are no where to be seen .I would of been easier and quicker to take my daughter to emergency.I’ve phoned back at 12:34amApparently they lost my booking and will not be attending my address tonight ..THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST COSTUMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED ..
