Interesting sight to see. Give yourself a couple of hours to do the complete lap. The bottom track from one end of the mine to the other is an easy walk.

What an amazing site to visit, real Aussie history. There’s plenty of parking to be had. No dogs allowed though.We only spent about 15 mins here, which was enough but made for a good break.The view over the mine was pretty amazing and the info provided along the walk was perfect.Well worth a visit.

Beautiful and informative place to visit in a small town Peak Hill. It gives a different perspective about Mining it's challenges and Life of Miners. Best walk around the mine with picturesque spots to cover. Better to support some of these rural quiet towns in Australia

Peakhill Open Cut Gold Mine
So so so worth the visit. Am so glad I went there as what a beautiful sight. Mine is only a few minute walk from the car park. You can take a walk around the path or just visit the mine and return to the car park which is what we only had time to do. And it’s only a one minute drive from the Main Street.

quick easy walk around the mines. no tickets or gift shop. was interesting reading the history of the mine. I'd suggesting visiting when driving though but wouldn't got out of my way to visit.

After many years of wondering if there is a viewing area. Yes there is, and it is right by the carpark. Informative displays and audio make this visit well worth the stop.
