The Lakes Bakery Cafe
We went into The Lakes Bakery Cafe for breakfast as it was a freezing cold morning and the kitchen in my Caravan is outside. The Waffles were great, even had a decent amount of Maple Syrup which most places skimp on. My hubby said his bacon and egg roll was good too. The coffee was great as well.The young lady behind the counter was Emily, she was amazing, nothing fazed her, she was the only sales person behind the counter for the early morning hour, it was reasonably busy, she never stopped and was very professional and gave excellent service the whole time.

Great location, situated right at the lakeside with nice views of Lake Bonney. Staff were friendly and service was prompt. However, the food was average. Not something I would go back for. Hot beverages were reasonably priced.

Nice view of the lake, but only average service. Any GOOD cafe would know not to bring warm scones to the table and leave them sitting there for 10 minutes before bringing the coffee, which turned out to be very mediocre. Not that the staff care anyway, but I wouldn't return nor recommend.

Beautiful views of the lake, however thats where it stops, came for breakfast today scrambled and poach eggs were overcooked and the bacon was dipping in grease. Sausage roll pastry was undercooked and soggy. Shocking atmosphere and poor service. Also to add lactose free flat white wasn't lactose free.

Lovely views here today, and nice in the sun too. A solid reliable type of service and food here. While it did take a while for our food to arrive, it was not unpleasant sitting in the sun looking at the lake.

Good food and a lovely atmosphere. Excellent views of Lake Bonney from the outdoor eating area. Unfortunately they were understaffed on Mother's Day but the young lady at the counter did an exceptional job keeping up.

The Lakes Bakery Cafe
We enjoyed coffee & cream buns so much we came back on a second day. The staff were lovely & the lake views from the deck are marvellous.
