Brookside Vineyard

Absolutely fantastic! Had such a beautiful, memorable day with friends and family. Food, wine, service and setting were just brilliant. Sat outside &and loved the view and bird life - just so peaceful! Can’t wait for our next Brookside lunch.

Came across this lovely vineyard with the intention of having lunch after a hike around the hills. Our intention was to dine at your restaurant, but unfortunately your service clearly didn’t reflect that we were welcome. We were shocked by the greeting and service we received by (assumed manager of the venue). We were asked if we had a booking, we did not, however we kindly requested to have a look at the menu (she couldn't locate a menu and went to look for one, she then came back and asked her staff to locate a menu for us!) as we started to look at the menu she hesitantly explained this was a set course menu emphasizing the costs and had presumed this may not be a place for us to eat at as she then added this isn't a venue where you can order a steak, burger or chips! We then asked if we could be seated at a table. We spent more than 5 minutes to digest what the menu had to offer, however this experience left us with a bad taste!A real shame. I am leaving these comments hoping that no one else will have to go through the same horrible experience, and that you will treat your next customers politely. I can assure you that with a little bit of compassion towards your customers will bring you the positive reviews you are seeking. “Treat others how you want to be treated”

Absolutely beautiful gardens, we just stopped in for a wine tasting which was lovely, but the garden on the drive in is fantastic and would be great for wedding photos.The staff were friendly and helpful, and don't forget to book if you want to come out for lunch!!

Stumbled across this beautiful place on a Sunday afternoon. I have never experienced such terrible service. We came for lunch after a hike. And have being judged badly for our looks by the blonde woman (assuming she is the manager) we asked for the menu and being told that they don’t serve burgers and fries! Fair, but there is a way to explain to your customers! It’s such a pity when such a beautiful place has such a backward and toxic culture.Service doesn’t even deserve a star

CHOOSE BROOKSIDE FOR YOUR WEDDING!After having lunch at Brookside Vineyard, we were blown away by the beautiful venue and delicious food and wine.We decided to meet with Jocelyn to discuss Brookside as our wedding venue and after our very first meeting I knew we had made the right choice.Jocelyn made everything so easy -she was a pleasure to plan the event with and she had some great suggestions that made our wedding day such a breeze.During the Wedding Jocelyn and Michael were there all day ensuring the day ran smoothly and all of my guests commented on how lovely these people were.THANK YOU JOCELYN AND MICHAEL!The care and effort you contributed to our Wedding made our day so special. I was delighted when Jocelyn rang me to say they had had a cancellation and could accommodate us for Fathers Day lunch the following day.The drive to Brookside thru the delightful Bickley hills is beautiful and the rural property is charming.The staff were all friendly and helpful.The Fathers Day menu was a fixed price at $69 per person, more than we would usually pay, but then at our advanced age we wouldn’t normally consume 3 courses! So I was relieved when told we could take home anything we couldn’t eat.The French bean soup was hearty and full of flavour. The confit duck was delicious and melted in the mouth. The lentil and carrot base with its slightly sweetened sauce was the perfect accompaniment. The proportions were generous and I took half of it home for my supper. The rhubarb and raspberry cobbler was lovely and fresh, it’s tartness set off by the most beautiful ice cream.All in all a delightful meal for a very special occasion.We’ll be back.

Hi Jocelyn,Thank you for a truly wonderful lunch experience yesterday. The food was divine and service excellent. We had two vegetarians in our group of 11, including myself, and it was a breath of fresh air to have more than one option on the menu. It was very difficult to decide. The whites and sparkling are beautiful crisp and have perfect fruit notes. The place is Rustic and just picture perfect.

Had the most fantastic lunch last Saturday. Food was excellent, wonderful wine. Service was absolutely top notch. I don’t think it is fair that I can only give five stars. A six would be far more appropriate!
