As it is with any Laurent Bakery, the desserts and little cakes are amazing! There is always a bit of seating available and you can get some cafe food too if you wish. It is also very expensive, which for me is only acceptable if the service matches the high quality of little foods. The service isn't by any means bad, but even when they aren't busy they look rushed and I don't remember receiving a smile with service on any occasion I have been there. You need better service to sell expensive products in a service industry!

Pros:Hot coffee.Castel was a delicious light cake which reminded me of a ferror rocher.Cons:Really cold air con. We went on a chilly day and I was shivering with the air con as it blew directly down at us.Berry danish was soggy and almost inedible, not really acceptable for a French bakery.It’s on the pricier side at $28 for 2 coffees and average cakes/pastries. Can definitely get better out there especially in and around this area.

Nice setting and spacious compared to East Melbourne branch. Nice cake selection. Coffee is very average. Place feels understaffed and staff have difficulty keeping up with venue size and customers.

Great cafe that is open late afternoon. A good selection of cakes and pastry’s. The only downside is that it costs over $30 for cake+coffee for two!

Each time I’m in Melbourne, I would always find time to have coffee in Laurent, alone as well as with company. It has never lost its appeal after more than a decade ❤️❤️❤️

Probably the worst Laurent out there (despite being located in Toorak!). Old run down venue, the sandwiches on display looked stale, coffee wasn’t great also. Cakes were the same as other Laurents’ though.
