Rivermount College

This is by far the worst school in the Gold Coast area. It does not even deserve one star. If you have not attended the college since Prep, there is a high chance you will not be accepted by the peer group. The school charges high fees and cares more about a students uniform then their education or social/emotional well-being. For parents considering RMC as an option for their youngster, I hope this gives you some food for thought and allows you to consider a far better option then Rivermount College.

Absolutely disappointed with the bullying in this school! Teachers don’t care as my 16 year old family friend USE to attend and have unfortunately left due to her not being listened to. Teachers sat in the class watched her be bullied and she had gone onto her phone to ask me to pick her up because it would not stop. Instead of helping her and stopping it they threatened her to give her an afternoon detention for trying to leave the situation. She had come home with bumps on her head and constantly crying. I had called to discuss what was going to happen so it didn’t have to happen to any other young girl. But instead of speaking to the boys and making sure it wouldn’t happen again they told me that she had left the next day so they couldn’t do anything about it. If we wanted them to be spoken to we had to get her father to speak to the school. Teachers NEED to listen to students and speak to the bully’s to stop it from happen. #doitdolly

They blocked the auction sites so I cant buy a tractor not happy at all.Teachers are pretty good and they have great facilities in the technology block.The teacher bathrooms are great with hot running water and paper towels and no UFC fights.The senior boys bathroom has no paper towels, I'm not sure if its because of the schools budget but the other bathrooms have them.The school would be 4.3 stars if they did not block the auction sites and they also blocked a educational mathematical site called cool math games.The uniform policy is very strict and there is no freedom for students. Teachers told me to put my Akubra on on a windy day after school, being a sheep I put it on and 8 minutes later it fell off my head and got run over by a Kenworth T909 with a FWR quad axle low loader carrying a absolutely mint 2022 Caterpillar D8T with a huge ripper on the back.Please talk to students about policy changes, they should work for the students not only for the teachers.

0 stars for this school and the management of their online enrolments. I sent an application to this school alongside an enrolment payment. I never heard from them and I followed up with my application. I disputed this with my credit card company because in my opinion, they're misleading, fraudulent and unprofessional. How hard is it to reply to a parents enrolment, even if it's to advise there's no space? In my opinion, the worst school in this part of the region. Lucky escape for us.

After being through many schools, Rivermount is the only school that has supported my boys and my girl with their learning and made them feel worthy, respected and cared for. Can not recommend this school enough. They act on any concerns very quickly and have lovely caring teachers who teach in a fun way! Staff are amazing!!!! Wonderful environment!

Where to start, the journey so far has been amazing. Such a beautiful school campus. Such an amazing community and friendly staff. My child so far loves going to school and that is a double bonus.
