Interesting salmon Farm where you can walk around the farm and feed the Salmon yourself, which is quite the experience :) On the tour around the premises it is obvious though, that it's not that well maintained (waterwheel not running anymore, the ginseng show-farm just overgrown and its not clear what is the ginseng, the aquaponics area is falling apart, some signs are bleached out and barely readable). The Food was excellent though, we had the 41 south platter for 32$ for 2, which was okay volume-wise, because we ate not long ago. The rilette was 8$ for quite a small portion and gruyère cheese was 12$ for 160g and hot smoked salmon was 77$ per kg for smaller Snack portions.Overall it feels a bit too focused on tourists, which would explain the prices. I still liked the place and it was interesting to do the tour (10$ per adult) and learn about salmon and ginseng!

Definitely worth a visit - it’ll change how you think about sustainable production. We’ll definitely make this our preferred product from now on. Please do consider the farm walk - it’s surprisingly fun to feed the mature salmon and it’s a way to meaningfully support their amazing work. The family are out working and really generous with their knowledge and time.

Nice place, good food. Smoked salmon is very good. Ginseng salt also very good and deserves to be brought home, so buy a couple of jars if you are only visiting Tasmania. The owner is friendly, don't let his German's directness put you off because once the conversation started, we talked about a lot of interesting topics.

We were greeted by a very friendly dog and the owner is nice, friendly and took the effort to introduce us what is available. The salmon platter is worth a try. Nice and relaxed place. We bought smoked salmon back to try and it is great

Unfortunately it was raining on the day we visited but we didn't let that stop us. We grabbed umbrellas and had had a fantastic time feeding some monster size salmon! We also toured the growing tanks and other ponds and purchased some salmon to take home.I can honestly say it is some of the best salmon we have ever eaten. The salmon rillettes we also purchased to try was absolutely divine!!!! We should have bought 10 of them!Definitely worth a visit...even in the rain!

Friendly owners and staff with a relaxing setting to eat and have a coffee in the courtyard. A friendly dog wandering around is a plus as well! Salmon platter is a must, it gives a good taste of everything they produce on the farm. I was impressed by the smoked salmon fillets which were smoked just right without overpowering the delicate salmon or drying it out. Honestly one of the better salmon I've had in a long time.

Lovely family owned and run working farm. Excellent experience even though the rain from the night prior meant it was hard to see/feed the salmon. The landscape was worth entry alone, which the owner halved because of the limited opportunity to see the salmon. Informational boards around the farm proved helpful on our self-guided tour. Highly recommend the short stroll to the falls on the property - just beautiful.Finished off with a great coffee in the cafe and purchased some of the hot smoked salmon (which due to it's deliciousness didn't last long!)

41⁰South is a great Salmon & Ginseng farm near Deloraine, Tasmania. The farm, the products & the service were all 5 star. The farm walk is $10. Do it. You feed the salmon, the walk is beautiful and you can see the Montana Cascades from the path. And yes, we had salmon for lunch and dinner that night. Try the $5 testing plate before purchasing to see what you like.

We ordered the 41 degrees tasting plate and it was absolutely delicious - especially the salmon rillette and the hot smoked salmon… oh and the ginseng spiced salt. Was also nice to do the short self-guided walk around the beautiful property and to the cascades.
