Hi, although my appointment was efficient I did make some observations whilst there at the Toowoomba DDR. I found the elderly patients to be very confused with the gowns they wear and some walking around with them undone unaware on how to tie them up. As masks are still being worn there’s definitely a communication break down, I found some elderly people standing around looking for direction and somewhat confused! The man providing my CT wasn’t very kind in his delivery of information and expected people to just know what to do! I understand it can get very busy but caring for patients and being clear and informative is important.

The staff are so friendly and supportive, have a great sense of humour and know how to be respectful at the same time. They are very busy and under a lot of stress with the amount of work they have to get through so please remember this if you have to wait. They need our support and respect also.

Very disappointing customer service and I won't recommend this radiology to anyone who is looking for maternity tests as they don't communicate friendly approach and not in a smiling attitude. Sonographer is not communicating effectively.Other case is appointment was booked for ultrasound scan 2:45pm and we came @2:30 pm and they did not call until 3:15pm. They are calling people who came after us. and My suggestion is to don't give hard times to people who are punctual on time and pregnant ladies. Customer Service at the front counter is not friendly and didn't know how to treat with a welcoming attitude

All over we have found DDR good. However some staff are in need of training.The experience related below shows where the practice needs to lift its game.My 91 year old husband needed an injection procedure which required that he needed to be up on the table. At that age he is very frail with limited mobility..First he was placed wrong way round, ... so he was gripped very tightly by the arms and dragged around, next they decided he should sit up - placed wrong way round again, more grabbing and tugging . I was not allowed to help.He came home very sore, with bruises on his upper and lower arms.To cap it all we received a phone call to say that they discovered that the doctor " had injected the wrong area.We were directed to come back and they would repeat the procedure and hope to get it right!! They generously said there would be no charge!!I stated my concern about the rough handling and was told that I was welcome to see if I could do any better. As a trained carer

My wife attended DDR for MRI of the skull, which as advised, a procedure which will take 11/2 hours. After the dye has been administered. Due to concerns of an anaphylatical reaction. I tried to start a conversation with the front staff member. Uninterested response. Told, speak with the male staff member from out the back. He called for my wife, when I spoke to him, I was ignored again. Being my wife's carer, feeling it was my responsibility to bring the staff members attention to my wife's situation. She has 3 tumours in her skull. Conversation, response to verbal instructions or questions can be spasmodic. Even while he was walking away I still tried to make him aware. Now totally disgusted I left. Within minutes I received a call, driving, pulled over call gone. Repeated calls, finally got a response. Just to get the same front desk ignorant staff member. Told me the questions they had, had been answered. So I asked what questions. Gave answers. Told by wife, staff member had rung the male staff member and said 'everything was okay'.The treatment by the female operator was just more of the same poor treatment. When this business treats patients with disregard, especially with health issues of the nature my wife has, doing a paper review will not be enough. I was dismayed with the emotional state my wife was in when I returned to the premises, then waited. Later after discussing what had occurred, her confidence with having to return here shattered. Stating she does not wish to have any scans done here. That means a trip to Brisbane as that is the closest machine capable.Okay, so you are busy! The difference is the amount of empathy shown by your staff,they are the frontline of your business. Asking me to go to your website and open dialogue with another staff member, is noting optionI am interested in pursuing.

I arrived early and got in early and the staff were very obliging and friendly.

Very prompt service. Staff were all friendly and informative. Gowns a bit awkward but disposable. I used the toilet which was a bit wobbly and drier didn't work. Procedure was done very quickly with little pain .

Girl who did ultrasound questioned why I needed it. Follow up biopsy refused, despite Dr referral but offered follow up ultrasound. Turned up for the appointment and they requested a referral despite not advising me I needed one. Two wasted trips into town. Will never use this service again.

Could not fault this place at all I was in and our before my appointment had even started excellent staff its clean and over all 100% thank you

Don’t bother making an appointment. You’ll walk in on time after waiting two weeks for your appointment. Everyone that walks in after you will go in before you (10+ people) and then a lady and her son will walk in with NO APPOINTMENT and be taken in while you sit here after waiting over 30 minutes.
