Lovely community library by the sea!An amazing heritage building with a beautiful art deco roof. Perfect to sit back and drift off into one of the amazing books they have.Friendly staff and great public amenities

Unfortunately we do not enjoy visiting or borrowing in the Semaphore library anymore. The books are not shelved in the traditional spines facing outward manner, but stacked in upright piles against the back of the shelf, with only one book in 10 or more visible. To see the range you must touch and flip every single book. Very unhygienic in COVID aware times, needs 2 able hands and takes toooooo long. You cannot just walk along a shelf and browse. WHY????

Always look forward to going here.Beautiful building, such a nice place to be and the staff are always welcoming.Not a huge selection of books at the library itself but you have be access to a wide range of books online that can be ordered and picked up at the library. Which is what I'm about to do!

Staff always friendly and helpful. Premises always looks very clean. Good array of books, jigsaws, DVD's & children's books. Grandaughter use to love attending sing-a-long for Under 2's a few years back. Noticed on Sunday that all computers were in use so maybe make a booking for the latter, prn.

Situated in a beautiful historical building on Semaphore Rd near the beach, Semaphore Library is such a jewel. With helpful, friendly staff, the library has a wonderful community feel. Highly recommended.
