Tathra Hotel | Tathra Hotel was first opened in 1888 as the Ocean View Hotel and is heritage listed. Perched on the headland, it is arguably the best located hotel in Australia. With its panoramic ocean views, it is a great spot for whale watching as well as a welcoming place for a drink or meal. The red brick motel was added in 1975 and offers comfortable accommodation with ocean views. Local Produce. Family Friendly. No Pokies. No TAB.

Magnificent view. Variety of local beers with tasting notes/info for customers to choose. Food is average, and waiter asked whether we have finished the dish while my wife was still eating. They seems more concerned to let their boss see them busy cleaning the tables than the actual enjoyment of their customers. Even you have a little food still left in the dish, they come immediately to take it away. They should know a lot of people are in hunger in third world countries.

A very busy place with great views. Food was nice. Service was good too. Only down point was it was so busy we had to get a table outside. It was easter so we understand how busy it was. Recommend you book in advance. Was a bit windy outside.

It's too bad that people with dogs are restricted to the veranda on the street side of the pub. Not so much of a view and very little warmth from the sun on a chilly day. The brewhouse is nicely integrated with the historic hotel. The food was interesting, we got the soup of the day, cauliflower carrot.

Had a very pleasant lunch here on a weekday recently. Service was particularly friendly and efficient. Food presented nicely and tasted good. Had a table overlooking the ocean. Coffee was good too. Would definitely return when we come back next year.

They have totally nailed it here. Refreshing on-premises brewed beers that hit the spot, well curated wine selection including some local gems and the food is sensational.And that's before we begin about the location and the views.This is my best kept secret that I'm happy to share with everyone.

This pub is fantastic, some of the best food we've eaten at a pub. Fish and chips were amazing, pork belly and scallops were great and our 1 year old loved the prawns!Great selection of beer and cider!Will be back soon!

Had lunch and dinner here. The food was absolutely yummy. Check out their specials of the day. Service was great. And fantastic location. Got to see the whales while having lunch. A live music at night. Made some downtime even more chill.

This is an amazing location, perched on the bluff. The rooms are new and spotlessly presented. The views were relaxing and panoramic. We spent one night an ocean view room and one night in a renovated room over the bar area. The pillows were terrible. The rooms are not air conditioned, but do have a very quiet ceiling fan.We had dinner in the hotel both nights, a credit to the staff given current staffing difficulties in the industry.I would highly recommend checking this place out.
