Really poor customer service.Refused to tell me a part number over the phone, saying it would help me find the part cheaper elsewhere instead of using them.In person, same assistant refused to help source a replacement cable for my remote control gear shifter, as the controller was a Johnson, not a Mercury controller (despite the part I needed was the bit connecting to the Mercury outboard).Same person did provide me with another part - rectifier, though no packaging, no info sheet, no fitting instructions, not even a part name/description. Refused to comment on how to mount it, saying they 'had no experience with these things'. Refused to let me speak to member of their service department, saying a previous customer had 'fried their engine, so we no longer give advice'. Also quite an unpleasant person to have a conversation with.I went to another dealer, and they were helpful, knowledgeable and had the correct items in stock - with packaging and appropriate resources available, e.g. circuit diagrams. Seemed like they were actually happy to help.Sugar City Marine have definitely lost a customer for future servicing / parts.

Picked up my new boat today and I can guarantee that I'll never go anywhere else. Not only a great price but the customer service blew me away, even as I was driving home they rang me again to make sure everything was OK and to let me know, if I have any questions about the boat to keep ringing them.Had the boat ready with many extras done in record time and before Easter.

Five Star service.! I would highly recommend and know I will be returning customer to Sugar City Marine. From the initial phone call with both Steve and Paul, I received the most friendly and helpful service. We have been travelling up the coast from the Sunshine Coast on our small sailboat. Our mercury 3.3 hp outboard on our inflatable is a necessity to get to shore and different marinas. We damaged the breather cap and when I called Sugar City Marine they were unable to source a new one at short notice as we were leaving within 24 hours. Knowing we need the dinghy for our day to day routines they went above and beyond, finding a second head part for us. Thanks guys think I’ll be driving to Mackay when we upgrade our outboard.Cheers,ShaneSV Soraya
