The team at Border River Pet Resort are professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. My dog and I had a bad experience elsewhere, but all my concerns were allayed here. CB loves his stays and plays at Border River Pet Resort, and I enjoy peace of mind that he is cared for and safe. I cannot recommend highly enough.

We have boarded all of our dogs with Neville over the last few years, this recently included our highly anxious GSD. When we picked him up it was clear that he had been well looked after and was comfortable around Neville.  In the past we've come to pick up our girl who was having too much fun to realise we were there to take her home! Neville is very accommodating with medication and updates on the dogs.  I've happily recommended Neville in the past and will continue to do so.

Great place for our Border Collie to stay. Dog a little reluctant to come home..! Will definitely be using the resort again, wonderful staff, who really care about our pets.

Zero stars. My dog was seriously injured on day 1 of her boarding experience at this kennel, I was not even notified or contacted until 3 days later when i phoned to see how my dogs were doing. The team at this kennel advised me they could cater for my dogs needs (she has serious separation anxiety and is known to jump fences). I was told this was not an issue and a staff member would be with her in the yard at all times - as they are in the yard when dogs are out there for safety reasons (eg if a fight breaks out)This was false. On pickup there were multiple dogs in the yard - and not one staff member with the dogs - I was told there were over 50 dogs and its impossible to supervise them all while they are outside. (except this was not what i was told during my first phone call, during my tour of the facility or during drop off of my pets)I was told my dog was taken to a vet and that she has a very bad wound and has sutures in but will need to go back to the vet when i collect her (the next night) she could barely walk i was told. I was furious i wasnt contacted as i had made it clear i wanted to be contacted if there was ANYTHING out of the ordinary. I was hit with an almost 200$ bill from the facility which i refused to pay as it was due to their deception - stating they had the facilities to be with my dog if she was outside - This was the entire reason we chose this kennel over another that we viewed. Upon collecting my dog the vet bill was torn up infront of me and stated dont bother paying it when i requested insurance details to contact them. I couldnt see any sutures in her foot which two ours later our regular vet confirmed there were none in there. My dog is now in theatre and they will try and suture her back up - because it has been almost a week they are not sure if they can and she may lose an entire pad off her foot. This will mean she may never walk the same again and may have ongoing issues from it. I have contacted the pet 'resort' with all paperwork from the vets and they have said its not their responsibility now. Surgery at this stage is costing approx $1100 providing nothing goes wrong, this week alone i have spent over $200 in wound management due to the wound being so dry and needing to rehydrate it and keep it clean.I then found out the day after i picked my dog up from the vet this 'resort' took her to that they had gone AGAINST the vets advice and declined the vets recommended treatment of suturing it on the spot - this would mean she would now be okay, the pad would have healed nicely, instead now it will not because it has been left so long. The resort has said they never went against the vets advice and the vet told them not to suture it - however i have the vets report from the day and have spoken to the vet hospital which confirms the report is correct. Report is attached for anyone who wishes to see.None of this is malicious or defamation - i have evidence for everything stated and more to back up this review.I also did not receive my dogs bed back from the resort.I have contact them and asked why i was not contacted when the incident occurred, why i was not contacted when the vet made his recommendations and why it took for me to call to even find out about the incident - i have asked over multiple emails for this answer and also for insurance details which they have refused to provide. Their way of dealing with it is ' i shall not be responding to any further correspondence from you'The way this entire ordeal has been handled is disgusting, the fact this injured animal has been left for days without proper medical assistance is a disgrace and the fact i wasnt even contacted at any stage - i dont even have words for this.I urge you - do not send your pets to this 'resort' it is not the kind of 'resort' you or i would want to go to!*edit - The report keeps failing to upload, but it will be uploaded on the facebook review*

1st visit, boarding for an extended weekend, and we did not get any complaints from our cats. (And we definitely notice when they wouldn't be content). Happy to try again for a longer holiday. Unfortunately the cat rooms do not have a view (they love hanging around our home veranda, bird watching from within a secured enclosure). Friendly owner/manager.

Up until my most recent use of this pet resort, I was happy with the service I received for my dog. Our dog suffers from seizures and therefore requires two lots of medication, twice a day. The medication consists of three tablets morning and three of the same type of tablets afternoon or evening. After my recent pickup, I observed two tablets still sitting in the plastic container I provided. When I complained as to why my dog wasn't given the full amount of his medication, I was informed he was. I explained my wife and I checked the amount of medication three times (due to this pet resort failing to give our dog his full medication on two previous occasions). I later received an email from the pet resort owner stating he gave our dog his full medication. I informed him that comment is an absolute nonsense. So please be warned, if your animal requires administration of medication whilst being kennelled at this pet resort, there is that propensity for your animal to maybe not receiving all of it's medication. This being the third time, we have decided to no longer kennel our animal at the pet resort. It's a shame, because he did tend be well looked after.

We have been boarding our dogs with Neville for the past few years and we are extremely happy with the way our pets have been treated there. They have always been very well looked after and we can thoroughly recommend it.

We recently spent 2 weeks away from our two boxers and we used Border River Pet Resort for the first time. Neville and the team were brilliant, we were able to get everything confirmed by phone and email prior to our trip. Our dogs are usually a little fussy and don't really eat while we're away so can be a bit thin when we pick them up, they were in great condition, they were bathed and really happy. We'll absolutely use Border River Pet Resort again! Thanks team :)

Testimonial: We recently left our dogs Valentine & Bruno with Neville at Border River Pet Resort. Neville was recommended to us as someone who could deal with our very anxious reactive dog. We came home to extremely happy dogs who had obviously been very well looked after. They were obviously very excited to see us when we picked them up but when we got home they were relaxed and happy not their usual barking anxious behavior we have experienced after other kenneling experiences. Neville was also very happy to respond to all my messages about my pups while I was away so I knew they were ok and was very conscientious with keeping up with valetine’s complicated medication regime! Thanks so much Border River Pet Resort, we’ll be back!

This is the first time that Charlie has had a holiday with Border River Pet Resort. They had excellent reviews and worked out a little better for locality since we had moved further away from our last kennel.I was so impressed with Charlie's room. He was given a large room with a door so he couldn't see any neighbours. Charlie is a social fellow so I was secretly very happy about this. His last kennel always had a raucous of barking, but at Border River, all seemed peaceful.Charlie had a wonderful 2 week holiday and was the happiest man when I picked him back up. He was freshly bathed and it turned out that he used to socialise each day with a couple of other smaller days. He was a happy chappie.I noticed when leaving that a new shipment of top quality dried pet food was being delivered.I have no hesitation of recommending this fabulous pet holiday resort. The owners are so kind, caring and genuine. They obviously love their animals whether they are big or small.Thank you so much for looking after Charlie.
