Bitter & Twisted Cafe
I discovered this amazing chic cafe in St Leonards on Friday 28th April 2023. It is beautifully designed with a great, welcoming, feel to the interior. A fabulous array of food - I had the spicy scrambled eggs - brilliant. The coffee was tremendous. And I love the eclectic name: 'Bitter & Twisted'. A cafe for me, lol.

The coffee was good, almost croissant delicious. I ordered the Korean fried chicken burger which was decent in size and the chicken very moist. I didn't like the long sprouts in there which were difficult to chew and fibrous like thick hairs so would recommend without those. Chips were average. Sitting outside is nice, indoor seating is semi underground with no view of anything which may be what you're after.

We had breakfast here while staying at the Quest nearby.Glad we decided to eat here. I like my coffee strong, and they did not disappoint.The food was presented well, and was absolutely delicious. Our family all ordered something different and each meal could not be faulted.They have a great selection of food and beverages, and all are well priced.Must mention the mango smoothie, my daughters absolutely loved theirs. I had to have a try of theirs a few times because they were so good.I know where I am having breakfast next time I stay at the Quest!

I've met 4 employees from here and they were all kind, fun, and gentle.I love this cafe's brownie, chocolate, and the other cakes. Also, the coffee is just my type. The location is perfect for me and the outside table is fantastic.No reason for me to go to other cafes around my house.

Bitter & Twisted Cafe
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the greatest experience here as other people did.First of all, the cafe was freezing even when sitting inside (even the customer sitting next to me said so). The whole atmosphere and interior are quite odd, not sure what they are trying to achieve. Last but not least, the barista lady really had a bitter and twisted attitude which made me felt very uncomfortable.With that being said, the food didn’t taste bad, the coffee was good and the service by two ladies were great, hence the 3 stars.

Meal portions are good and filling. My pumpkin salad was very chunky and a bit difficult to eat. ingredients were fresh and crisp but the size of them made it very hard to taste them together. Taste was nothing impressive, tasted like a salad. My ice coffee came out unmixed and just a layer of coffee poured over milk with a ton of ice so it was hard to stir. Customer service was also fairly average.

Good location with nice interior design. The menu has something for everyone. Their coffee was good. We ordered the fish & chips and the ricotta toast, both dishes were nice. The staff were friendly and the price of the food was reasonable.
