To understand this review, it is important to appreciate my contacting Energy Locals was at a time a massive demand due to the imminent tariff increases in July 2023. My initial inquiry was just before the tariff increase. I wanted the post increase tariffs for my electricity supply from Energy Locals. I emailed Energy Locals, but did not get any answer. Therefore I tried calling but to no avail, the call kept dropping out. I emailed again and got a response. Energy Locals sincerely apologised for the delay in responding and explained their situation. They were totally overwhelmed by inquiries given the coming price increases. Not unexpected giving the situation with price increases.Once my conversation with Maddie started, she was great. She provided exactly the information I required plus more, apologised for the delays in responding and also helped me understand how to get help using the Energy Locals web page.I am now very happy with the service and the price. I have secured information regarding the July 2023 price increases from several suppliers. Energy Locals come in below by a few $100's compared to all the others for which I have the new rates.

Easily the best customer experience by far. They are transparent with their pricing and still remain very competitive with the added bonus of being clean energy. The online portal is also a breeze to use, definitely recommend!

My experience with this group, so far, has been excellent. No dramas. No hassles.I rang the customer service number to raise a question about my bill and was promptly helped by Nev. Really helpful and a delight to chat with.Very happy with them so far.

NOT SHARE HOUSE FRIENDLYI was not able to transfer the bill into my housemates name meaning I had to close my account and my housemate has to sign up before the date I've noted as my move out date to avoid our power being disconnected and being charged a disconnection fee of $41.The Energy Locals operator informed me that it is not possible to transfer the name of a bill holder as the new bill holder needs to agree with Energy Local's terms and conditions which can only be done through the sign up process. I cannot understand why consenting to terms and conditions/energy rates cannot be incorporated into a transfer process as is usually done for other energy companies?The customer service team were helpful and quick to answer my call which I appreciated. I think Energy Locals is a great company however I wouldn't recommend for share houses where bills are transferred to new bill holders every now and then.

It's always great dealing with a company like Energy Locals where the phone is answered quickly, you get to deal with an Aussie, and the team is trained well. Steve H. who looked after me today did a great job assisting me with my queries and helping me resolve a change in bank account details. I now have Solar on my house too, and Energy Locals feed in tariffs are the best in the business.

Pricing was super competitive despite the massive price hikes being passed on from July 1st. If you are looking for a great, locally owned and friendly business for your power look no further :)

Absolute nightmareI am going to jump ship. I have never had as many problems with accounts like I have with this company. Set up direct debits a number of times and they fall through. Don't send electronic bills then try to debit your account out of the blue killing any budgeting you try to follow and coping bank fees. This company is a joke. I have always used fortnightly payments to stat ahead of my electricity bill. Used to set and forget and be ahead. Not with this company. Constantly calling to sort out my payments of 60.00 per fortnight to cover my bill. Ongoing payments is all I ask. Looking elsewhere don't have time to chase a service.

Aaron Marks from Energy Locals helped me with a problem I had with my last bill, he looked in to the problem which was a very small overcharge and he credited the difference back to My account.Aaron was very helpful and friendly and an asset to the company.I fully recommend energy locals to anyone looking to change electricity companies.
