Greencross Vets Brookvale

Dr Mirko and the team at GC Brookvale are second to none! They explain everything thoroughly, show genuine care for your pets and do it all while make your feel comfortable and at ease. Is it weird to look forward to the next visit to the vet? Not anymore.

The team at Greencross are great. But do not join their Healthy Pets Plus membership program. I have had a member ship for a few years. My dog needed surgery for a hernia. Greencross gave me a quote. It was shockingly expensive. I called around some other local vets and their quotes were 1/3 of the cost greencross wanted! The membership discount was nothing .. obviously the “free” visits, vaccinations etc costs get passed on to the customers that need surgery. Is that their way of recouping some of the cost. Needless to say, I have now cancelled my membership with Healthy Pets Plus.

They always take care of my little dog. I love the treatment they provide there.

I first met the crew @ Brookvale when Max was poisoned in Oct 2016, he lost 4 kilos over the weekend and could not eat or walk. Dr Adam Sternberg, was so helpful not only did he do everything possible to help us through it. He also rang regularly to check on his progress. Max made full recovery regaining the weight and mischief.In July 2017 Max sliced his front L paw very deeply on builders waste. I made the mistake of taking him to the local vet at Chatswood who I expected the same care level as before. $1500 later and a fair bit of attitude, ignorance and arrogance I let fly on Facebook about the vet. Dr Adam Stenberg saw my postings and rang me saying bring Max down we will get him right. I took Max down the next day and saw Dr Trudie Vestey and received the same level of care for Max (and me). Again he's 100%.So it's well worth driving 30 mins past 5 more local vets to use them.Cannot praise their work ethics and morals high enough, & trust me I don't throw compliments away easily.

I have been going to a big name local vet for over 30 years. After a few recent very disappointing experiences there, I took my daughter's advice and went to Greencross Brookvale. I tried them because Bluebell made an escape attempt in bad weather some months ago. She was handed into them and they looked after her all night and when we found her in the morning they wouldn't take any money for caring for her. She even received a free pedi.. I wish I'd done it years ago. Dr. Chloe and Head Nurse (Bluebell's aunty) Hannah, along with all the other fantastic people in the team there, are the best. They are kind and caring to my dog and cats, explain everything to me completely, investigate issues in their own time, and always follow up with phone calls. And I nearly fainted with relief when I received my bill !! Don't even think about it. Go there now - go there right now.

After treating my schnauzer with antibiotics and steroids for his skin allergies and associated issues over and over again as recommended by other vets, I came here looking for a better solution, and I couldn't be happier!The vet here talked through many other options and long term solutions. We worked out a preventative treatment plan which has helped so much. And the cost was reasonable too.Sorry can't remember the vets name to give her credit as was a few months ago, but that's how long we have kept the issues at bay. I would have been to the other vet at least 3 times in the same time frame and just used harsh antibiotics and steroids for a short term quick fix.Could recommend these guys enough!!

I've had my pets at Greencross for 9 years and have been quite happy with them until recently, but today was very ordinary ordinary. My son took one of our cats in for annual check-up and vaccination. She was in there for half an hour for a check up and vaccination. The practice might be busy but surely they know how to schedule appointments. Í understand things are different these days but they have been different for quite some time and it's reasonable to expect the practice to have adjusted. The vet asked my son what vaccinations the cat had. Looking at her record might have been a good idea, and part of your job. Also when I made the appointment they could have looked at her records and mentioned she was due for a dental check and suggested we do it all together. I don't think that's an unreasonable ask either. Vet visits stress her out and I wont be taking her back for a dental check any time soon, but will schedule it with her next scheduled check up. Please lift your game, people.
