I cannot recommend Virginia from Mainstream Equestrian highly enough. I started endurance riding in 2018 and to be honest I probably purchased a young green horse that was a little too much for my level of experience. After a major fall in 2019 my nerves caused a relationship between me and my mare that just was not working. I was ready to sell her. I sent her to Virginia for a month to confirm that all she needed was a confident rider that she needed to feel secure with and this was the cause of her anxious behaviour on track. This was confirmed. Over the years with Virginia, having regular lessons and with her continued support and advice, we are now qualified to compete this year in the Tom Quilty 160k Endurance race in June 2023. I can honestly say that without Virginia’s support and guidance, I would have sold an amazing horse and would not be the rider that I am today. Virginia has guided me all the way , from going from 40k rides to 160k rides. Virginia’s horsemanship is truely amazing, along with her commitment to support all of her clients in any way needed.

Virginia Barber and Mainstreme Equestrian offer many different equine services- all of which are invaluable to the horse enthusiast. I have personally had my horses to Mainstreme Equestrian for varied training goals over the last few years. My Clydesdale was started under saddle by Virginia in November 2022 and I could not be happier with the result. Virginia has given him a confident start to his life as a ridden horse. I have also had many riding lessons with Virginia and her staff at Mainstreme and my riding seat has improved immensely, thanks to these lessons. I have had Virginia to my own property to do float training with all of my horses, no matter if they already float load or not. I do this because Virginia shows the horse how to load correctly and calmly and the horse then carries this ability with them, no matter where we are when floating. There is a wealth of knowledge at Mainstreme Equestrian, Virginia really is both knowledgeable and a true talent when it comes to helping horses.
