Extremely poor nursing care provided. Rooms are unkempt and general outlay of residence is dirty. It doesn't make sense to hire staff of a different lanwgustic background in a Italian Nursing home. Staff education on dealing with dementia patients is extremely poor, leading to other residents scared and patients being chemically restrained.

I had a meeting with the client relationship manager, Sue, on Tuesday, in regard to getting care for my elderly father- and I can honestly say that the management of Scalabrini Village is a joke. Within the interview, I found that Sue was far more interested in my dads bank account, than actually meeting my father and providing him with the care he needs. And if that isn’t disgusting enough, she had an unusual fixation with a patient who she continually referred to as the “Alpha male”, whom was supposedly the reason that she declined care for my father. The whole experience was extremely ridiculous, and unprofessional; it’s almost laughable. If you are reading this and are considering sending one of your loved ones here, please think again or at least ensure that they do not interfere with Sue and the “Alpha Male” of the facility.

I am really letdown with Chatswood head office staff Kirsten who is abrasive and insensitive. My mother was recovering from a major stroke at the time. Not returning my emails or calls and mostly interested in weather we could afford the care and not much else. Worst customer service experienced so far in my search for the right care for my mother. SO utterly disappointed.

The independent living quarters need refurbishment on level 1. Needs new carpet and a coat of paint.
