You couldn’t find a more perfect location – at the End of Cunningham Pier with water views across the bay and back towards the Geelong foreshore. The interior is colourful and fun with a nod to rock and roll and amazing views. There are loads of different sized tables plus spaces for functions large and small. They can pretty much accommodate everything. They also run the bar upstairs which reopened as the Wah Bar late last year. The Asian inspired menu is completely designed for sharing and ranges from small plates and nibbles, through to dumplings, Salads, Asian curries and desserts. Plus they are happy to accommodate for all dietary requirements The bao are a specialty – we recommend the crispy chicken with candied chili – bursting with flavour and the chicken was super fresh and tender. They also have a range of $10 fruity cocktails served in jars – bonus points for paper straws We had the ‘feed me’ menu, $52pp and let the staff decide what to bring us. There was SO MUCH FOOD! I felt terrible that we were going to waste it, but they helpfully brought out containers for us to pack the leftovers in and take home.Standouts were the Braised beef cheek with crispy shallots; the Maple Soy Glazed Roasted Potatoes; and the tasty little dumplings.Sadly we were too full to contemplate dessert, but I have my eye on it for next time.We highly recommend Wah Wah Gee next time you’re in Geelong. Thanks for having us!

I really expected more. Good points were it was hot and fresh, bao were good and staff were lovely. Bad points were the food was average at best and expensive. Flavour wasn't really there. The poke bowls were average and flavourless. Bit disappointed. The deserts were really average. Ran out of vegan desert. Such hype for a beautifully positioned resturant maybe we need to try it again.

This place has a strong atmosphere, amazing view and casual relaxed vibe. The service was great and everything was delivered really promptly. The entrees were really good; heaps of flavour, fresh and got the meal off to a great start. The mains were a little underwhelming - missing a bit of flavour and tasted a little bit generic / bland.Prices are reasonable and portions were well sized.Come for the view, atmosphere and enjoy the appetisers!

Food was decent, fish and chips were of good quality and crispy. The pork baos were flavourful and cooked well.atmosphere was alright since we were walk ins and therefore not allowed to sit inside with the nice decor and view and instead shown to the walk-in area where it was not as nice. I would say it would be a fine place to sit but it was a rainy day so not great. So best to book ahead.

The food looked presentable but lacked authentic Asian flavours and seemed to be catered towards ‘western’ palates. The best dish for me was the mixed vegetables (steamer bucket) and whilst it lacked authenticity, was healthy and tasty. The others were all misses - whilst not bad they just weren’t great especially for the relatively high prices. Service was just ok. The waitress rushed through our order which we thought wasn’t great - then one of the items didn’t come out but was on the bill. When we pointed it out they took it off the bill.

The ambience is stylish. Have a waterfront view, which is very soothing to watch while eating. A bit pricey, but totally worth it for the atmosphere , service and the food. Very friendly staff and the food was served very quickly. My favourite of all was the Bao. There is a vegetarian option for every dish, which makes it vegetarian friendly as well.

Staff friendly and food arrived too fast!Dumplings we’re overcooked like they were left overs, for $18 for 5 very poor.We had lamb shanks which was not heated to correct temperature also roti bread soggy with a sauce which was watery. Kitchen staff either lazy or inexperienced food disgusting will never return.

I've never felt compelled to write a bad review until now. The way that our table was treated was shocking. We reserved a table for a 50th birthday at least a month in advance in person. The person advised that we could have the room in the back however when arrived they split our party up over two tables in the normal part of the restaurant as we were told we had to pay for the room. This would have been fine and understandable if this had been communicated to us as we would have booked elsewhere. The menu was boring, the food not exciting and maybe you could actually wash the dishes properly? Theres too much to write about this place to condense it into a short paragraph. But shame on you for dampening a 50th birthday celebration. Absolutely wouldn't return to this place and neither will the rest of our guests. Everyone was appalled.
