Mantra Lorne

We stayed in an ocean view apartment on the 3rd floor. View was quite nice but a very large tree blocked a lot of it. Also made the apartment dark which would be good in summer but not other times. Apartment was a little tired and would look good with an update. It was spacious and there was a jetted bath in the bathroom which was nice. Lift was slow to use. Breakfast was included which was very nice. It included a great variety of food which we enjoyed. Restaurant was right next to our building which was great. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach from our building.

Important to know. All the self contained apartments are NOT owned by Mantra, they only provide the booking and cleaning. So the quality of your room is dependant on the property owner...... no guarantee the room is new and well-kept.Our room was comfortable and we had a nice stay. Property is probably about 3 star tbh. Our room needed a huge deep clean, wi Dow and door tracks, curtains etc. But it was comfortable.Great location.Service was good apart from the long delays at check in.Tip: ask for beach facing and a high floor for privacy so you don't end up with people walking past your room window.We enjoyed the stay and would stay again now we have more knowledge.

The draw card here is the location. On the beach, beautiful.We made a booking for an ocean view room, when we arrived our room had been given to someone else at the error of junior staff. We ended up with a partial ocean view room. The staff handled the situation best they could and provided us with a complimentary bottle of wine which was appreciated.Despite the excellent location, the room was very worn out but clean. The bathtub enamel was coming off which was very gross to put your feet on. You can see by the beautiful landscape and design of the original hotel that, in its heyday, it would have been the height of luxury.Overall, we were disappointed by the rooms but thrilled with the location. There is a lot of potential here but the pricing doesn't reflect the standard of the rooms at this stage.

Beautiful location and great staff. We stayed 2 nights. First night we were in the heritage room but the second night we moved to the apartment because the heritage room bathroom and room had a really bad smell. I wouldn't recommend staying in that room it's really old and depressing and smells. But the apartment was lovely...all rooms are a little run down and could do with a spruce up but the overall stay was fun. Pool was fun and lots to do around the hotel.

Overall happy stay, lovely grounds, location great, if I could fault anything it would be the comfort of the beds - not comfy at all - thin mattress, uneven and squeaky base. Also buffet breakfast is not worth it at all - food was mostly cold, not enough seating available, we had to sit on the arm chairs to eat but the table was so high as we sank into the chairs- but the biggest disappointment was the French staff who were most unhelpful- abrupt and no eye contact when answering you. Aside from that we enjoyed staying there.

Great location but rooms looking a little tired now. Bath needed re-enamelling as it was stained and kitchens showing their age now too. I know the apartments are individually owned so this may be different for each one. Restaurant food was good and staff were lovely. Breakfast was great.

Looked lovely in the ad with its reviews of ocean view from balcony. But we of course got a corner room upstairs (no lift) no balcony, and with a view of the car park. Asked for two beds, got one. We’re not married so embarrassing.

I was here in 2020 and I just decided to share a video i did about the hotel. I wasnt pleased How they treated me. They where fully booked the next day and it happens. But their lack of compensation and service wasn’t optimal. They tried to give me good service but failed.The placement is super and it doesn’t need much to update the hotel. It’s a bit old and used in some places.I posted my review on my insta markbarner if you want to see the video of Australia reviews.But mostly I would say that their spa area is nice enough. Must be busy in high summer but in January it wasn’t crowded yet.The steam bath was okay. But the changing rooms are quite small.There are some better food choices if you walk a little around town.

All staff were professional and went beyond to make us welcome and address booking and room issues. The breakfast was diverse and catered for all. We will certainly go again and book directly with Mantra. The room view was fantastic and room layout perfect for 2.

I had an amazing experience during my stay at this place! The room was fantastic, and the reception service was top-notch. The staff went above and beyond to provide excellent service, especially at The Ladder restaurant. I must mention Marina, Max, and Aster, whose exceptional attention made my dining experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!
