River Motel Queanbeyan

Pet friendly room with a great walking area by the river nearby! Rooms are clean, quiet and comfy…! A perfect stopover for us. (Also-a decent size freezer for my milk bottle ice blocks was a bonus!)

Easy booking and after hours check in with key safe and code sent via text. Very comfortable double beds with blanket option and great pressure in shower - modernised and clean room and had all we needed for an overnight stay after long day travelling. Also able to enjoy yummy takeaway from local Indian restaurant in crockery provided. Very satisfied customer- will stay again.

We stayed for 2 nights with 2 dogs. The rooms were lovely and clean, spacious enough for 2 people and 2 dogs. The small kitchen was also great so you could prepare small meals - using a microwave for heating. The Motel is literally across the river from a shopping centre and there is a really lovely walk along the river that you can do with dogs. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again.

The last time I stayed here was as an evacuee of the Tallaganda 2019/20 bush fires. I love the fresh new look. The contactless check-in was great and email/text msg’s made it simple to do. My room was very clean, and well stocked. The rain shower head and lots of hot water in the shower was great after a very long day. Even though it was a cool autumn night I didn’t need the aircon which for me was a bonus. The bed and pillows were great, so I had a really good night’s sleep.The only slight negative was the shower door leaked at the bottom…. Nothing that a towel on the floor couldn’t fix.

Booking and checking in very easy, room was pet friendly and very clean, kitchenette was an unexpected bonus to remember for next time, close to Leagues Club and Riverside Plaza, excellent grassy area just across the road beside river for walking and exercising our dog. Well priced, happy to stay here again and highly recommend.

Very clean and tidy room. Close to local shopping.I stayed two nights while in the process of packing up my Queanbeyan unit to relocate, so the motel was very convenient for me.Staff on duty at the time of check-in and check-out were super helpful.Would definitely recommend this motel.

I recently stayed overnight for a work trip , the rooms were clean and comfortable motel style , TV remote needed batteries but I didn’t watch anyway . Bed was comfortable , did have another next room up smoking and chit chatting to 3.30am which was a bit annoying but It wasn’t very loud , I crashed most of the time .. good location by the river , town centre only 2kms away .. I do recommend and would stay Again..

Hi. I stayed there on Sat, 24th June. Room was comfortable, clean, modern. I would come again.Only thing is the Aircon switch was up high on the back wall. I was lucky I had friends from another room who could reach it. I feel the switch needs to be moved!Thanks.

Easy online booking, confirmation email straight away. Arrived at Motel, already had been sent message with key pick up code. Room clean and aircon already cooling room on arrival.Comfortable bed and overall good quality for the price. Great option to stay at an visit areas in Canberra too. Thanks

I sadly won’t be back.First off - book someone staying for 4 days on the bottom floors instead of them having to drag luggage up the stairs.My eyes watered for 2 days with the overload of bleach used to clean the bathroom (yet still black mould present at bottom of shower screen)I only drink Tea (only 5 teabags provided) yet 6 coffee’s provided & only 5 sugars sachets.When I popped down to reception to ask for a couple more, I was told NO. SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!No breakfast options AT ALL available - NOT EVEN CEREAL OR BREAD TO TOAST! I had to put up with takeaway in the area for 4 days (yuk) @ 6.30am while rushing off to to attend a course out in the wilderness.Lastly, the pillows were NOT zipped up at all and there was a fine grit in the top part of the bed from them (gross) & room not vacuumed properly pre my arrival as I found Band-Aid rubbish poking out from under the bed.
