Mercure Rockhampton

We had an excellent breakfast, well stocked and well cooked, the staff on were pleaseant and unobtrusive. The decor was simple but pleasant, and the price was very reasonable, even for a public holiday. Well done, will keep this one for future visits.

A nice but aging property. Good staff. If you want to eat there it is stairs only to get up to the restaurant. Dinner service was a bit slow, the food was good.

I stayed with Mercure Rockhampton for two weeks in 2020 and it was a fabulous stay.The service from staff was ideal, the room was great, it's a great location overlooking the river, close to shops and other essentials.The only aspect which wasn't great, was the room key card readers were akward and prevented effortless entry to my room.Despite that staff were always quick to provide assistance, it may be improved since my stay, other than that glitch it was the ideal stay.Thank you Mercure Rockhampton for the fond memories and exceptional standard of service you provided me with.

Would give 5 stars if they had more washers and dryers. Granted it’s not a high priority for most people but we sort of log jammed in our party for doing laundry. Otherwise it’s a great hotel with excellent facilities.

A city hotel of 8 floors of accommodation in a riverside location. Rooms have received a moderate updating in recent years. There is an on-site restaurant with a small but well designed menu. There is a buffet breakfast in the restaurant. Plenty of on-site parking including a few undercover parks if you arrive early. There is a nice riverside walk just opposite the hotel. Things to note are that the hotel does not offer priority check-in for ALL or Plus members and the breakfast coffee is some form of instant liquid concentrate that I found undrinkable.

I stay in Rockhampton every 2 months for work. The usual place I stay was unavailable. The company I worked for booked me in here at The Mercury Rockhampton. After reading a few negative reviews, I was a bit concerned. I’ve been here for 5 days and it’s been great! The staff make the place. They are so nice and attentive. The restaurant (The Riverside). Has a good buffet breakfast. The room is super comfortable, clean, well appointed and spacious compared to other hotels. The beds are comfy too. The place does look a little run down on the outside but see they are working on that (without noise). What’s super special is a card is left in your room from your room attendant to say that “they have taken pride in cleaning your room and if there is anything you need…” for an executive that travels with work, this is a good place to stay. I’ll actually feel sad leaving….

Very pleased with most features in this hotel, rooms are good, beds are good, restaurant is good, gym is ok, staff are friendly and polite. My only pet hate and it's not a big one is the shower in the bath. Apart from that enjoy my stays here
