C8 Campsite (Free campground)

Beautiful little spot just off the road with a drop toilet and a short walk to the beach. You can camp on grass or sand. There was space for about 3 different groups to camp.We visited between Christmas and NYE and rocked up after 6pm - still found it easy to find a spot.There are 19 free campsites along this road, but drive slowly as they aren't well signposted. The closest ones to the Golden Beach General Store (Numbers 1-6) seemed to be the most packed out, but the further away you get the less people there are.The surf looked too rough to swim but saw a few people fishing. The shipwreck is at Trinculo - quicker to drive to that carpark and walk from there.
