Avalon Family Medical Practice

We've been at this practice for 12+ years and like the progressive nature of how things have evolved. Being able to book on line and work with the doctors quickly and efficiently (especially during the CV19 times) is a real bonus for us. Recently had a few reasons to make last minute bookings to get assessments / treatment quickly - has worked out really well for our family.

I have never consulted with “Isa Bella”. At the time of her appointment she insisted on taking a telephone call. I took in the next patient. When she was finished on the phone she was told that she would have to make another appointment as she missed her appointment time. She was abusive. I told her I couldn’t work with anyone abusive. She stormed out of the practice. I have no right of reply.This is trolling!

I have been going to Avalon family medical practice my entire life. Having moved away, I now travel over an hour to visit my long-term doctor, Dr Ceri Cashell, because she is incredible at what she does; kind, empathetic and intelligent. The receptionists, however, are some of the most insensitive, rude and contentious people I've ever interacted with. They are incredibly condescending to talk to both on the phone and in person, telling me on countless occasions that I have to 'hurry up' with what I am asking of them. I have waited calmly for over an hour for my appointments before because they have double booked me. A shame, there are some great doctors in that practice, if only the receptionists could show some more compassion to their patients.

I have been attending this practice for several years now and very much appreciate the ongoing support from the doctors, nurses and receptionists. I feel very fortunate to live in an area where I can get an appointment quickly at this practice and with one who has an enormous amount of empathy and patience. Dr Howland and Dr Davis have been incredible. I would strongly recommend this practice.

Avalon Family Medical Practice has been my medical practice ever since I was a baby. Now with three teenage kids of my own I still regularly attend this practice. All doctors are great, in particular Dr Sharron Davis is amazing! She is always professional, never-endingly patient and explains everything in a clear, understandable and caring manner (I ask a lot of questions). Amazing. Would highly recommend.

The difference between a good practice and a great practice is the level of care you receive. Having been through some serious health issues over the last few years, I can genuinely say Avalon Family Medical Practice is a great practice. At times when everything was overwhelming, they were there for me and reached out beyond the call of duty. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

A fabulous family practice. The Doctors, nurses and admin staff are welcoming, kind and considerate. The treatment and care that my family and I have received has been excellent. The consultations are very thorough. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone in the area.

Whack jobs.And I thought male Doctors were dismissive. Had a female GP tell me that all my scan results & specialist I’ve been seeing for 10yrs+ were wrong. I guess we were all hallucinating the results, ultrasounds, symptoms.Was also told I should starve myself when I have insulin resistance and not overweight, and stick with a 800 calories a day diet. (I’m 30, 5”9 and weight 76kgs)

Dr. Sharron Davis has been without a doubt a doctor that has always been there for the small things and the big/hard things. Her medical advice has been second to none and she goes above and beyond to insure, not only myself, but to whom ever I have recommend her too, to show not just professionalism but genuine care and patients . Avalon medical practice is a welcoming and friendly place to get all your medical needs.

I've found Avalon Family Medical Practice great. They were recommended to me when I arrived in the area 18 months ago and I've been a patient personally, as well as the rest of my (young) family - with a wide range of needs. We typically see Dr Cashell who is brilliant, and when needing an urgent appointment have seen other Doctors also - without exception, we've found everyone there lovely and personable. And have always had great care and advice.
