Boat Harbour Aquatic Reserve
A family friendly place for all ages! The water is shallow but the waves made kayaking very exciting! It is very safe, as you can stand on your feet if the wave rocked your kayaks.

Great place to drive right up to the beach & swim, hang out for the day, does get busy during the summer months

Boat Harbour Aquatic reserve covers quite a large area including the Merries reef to the south and extending north east to Potter Point. Toward Potter Point there's lots of marine life here including whales dolphins sharks and everything else. Its a great spot to visit and it can be accessed from the Northern end for no cost - bit of walking involved though

Nice place to go that's sheltered from the NE wind. Decent diving. $35 entry mid week is a bit steep - 4wd drive required otherwise it's a decent walk down the sand hill to the water.

I liked it, but I was there working on a film shoot & didn't have the time to enjoy the place properly.

A great place to spend a weekend with your family including your pets!We found that boat harbour is a clean and safe environment to relax by the beach. The water is clear and calm on most days and the sand is easily accessed by most vehicles with decent ground clearance.Don't forget to take your rubbish with you!

Cronulla's beaches are amongst the most polluted in Sydney - Boat Harbour often the worst says the Sutherland Shire Environment Centre. This is due primarily to the presence of the Cronulla Sewage Treatment Plant which discharges effluent from a clifftop outlet at Potter Point. Vehicles are allowed to park at the southern end of Boat Harbour. Admission is $8 a day - paid to the National Parks and Wildlife Service as you enter Kamay Botany Bay National Park.

Sydney's best place for spotting shore birds. No dogs or fishing are allowed in the reserve area.
