I love zoos or wildlife parks that put their money back into the animals welfare. This place was run by volunteers. Looking after birds or other animals that simply could not survive in the wild. One legged and one winged Galah's. A beautiful old Wedge Tail Eagle, Winston. Only there because a human in a car hit him. So pls take time to drop in.

I love zoos run by hard working volunteers . How can they not be worth 5 stars ? Looking after sick or injured animals , that otherwise would not survive. Worthy of my support every time. It's a little tired, it needs more funds . So get along and support itSee the wonderful one winged Eagle . There are better Zoos around but not with such heart .

the animals are so friendly it makes it so easy for children to feed them, we could spend hours at this place just so beautiful. the children really enjoyed holding the bid snake, so don't forget to ask at the main counter.

Well definitely a lot better than i was expecting. Friendly and funny animals who are well looked after. Some small cages but are just right small you know.Very friendly struff who will talk about the animals and how they got there. So basically it's pretty good wildfire sanctuary.

A bit of a rocky entrance, but the kangaroo and emu are great. Easy to hand feed, especially the emu.Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and fun to talk with.

Stopped here to break up the long drive from Hervey Bay to Sunshine Coast for the kids. Great value for money. Our kids loved holding the snake and lizards. Will definitely be back if and when we are next on holiday up this way.

A really nice wildlife sanctuary to visit with a heap of native wildlife. It’s all run by volunteers who are passionate about the animals. There are kangaroos running free, which you can feed. They’re so cute and come right up to you. They also have other animals including; emus, dingoes, wallaby’s and a section of birds and reptiles. Oh and gorgeous peacocks! They don’t have a HUGE selection of animals and it’s not like a zoo - so don’t except that. But it’s a quaint, quite a big place and feels nice to support local. It’s only $15 entrance and $3 for kangaroo food. A heap of parking also.

Staff were helpful and knowledgeable about their animals. The sanctuary is a modest size, but still contains a lot of variety including: an Avery, dingo and emu enclosure, a magnificent wedge-tailed eagle and shed containing reptiles. There were lots of kangaroos and wallaroos roaming around freely to feed by hand. You are likely to soak it all in in around an hour stay.
