An amazing place to say for a weekend getaway! The staff are locals who are full of wonderful recommendations. They helped us plan the perfect weekend!Besides the rooms, the hotel has a number of common areas that are perfect to enjoy your morning coffee in, and the fireplace is to die for!Highly recommend it for a great stay!

This is an extraordinary place! Well worth a visit to the Prohibition bar to enjoy a drink in a fabulous room and listen to some beautiful jazz. The owner and staff make you feel very welcome.

I hosted a retreat at the Grande Hotel this weekend for 15 women and had the most amazing stay. The accomodation was fantastic and facilities were just perfect. Our weekend was fully catered and the food was outstanding. We had a range of food requirements and every one of them was met without issue. Ian and Phillip were the most fabulous hosts and our group absolutely loved this venue. In fact, we loved it so much I am already planning retreats here in 2023.

This is such a gorgeous place to dine and stay. And sitting outside amongst the birds and river is just so peaceful. A Grande Hotel in an even grander location!

My mum and I came here on a 3 night retreat with a group of others.We were really impressed with the level of service provided by our host, Phil, and his ability to meet the groups demands with patience and a smile.Also very impressed with the quality and volume of food we were provided throughout our stay, a lot of those in our group had complex dietary requirements which I can imagine were probably a bit of a headache to deal with, but both Phil and the chef on duty ensured all the unique needs were met.Outstanding service, highly recommend staying here or booking a retreat here.

You can't fault this place as it has everything you could desire for a comfortable, quiet and gourmet weekend. Fabulous cabaret style Friday night entertainments showcasing incredible local talents. Andrew Dennis is a remarkable hatted chef and ensured the Grande was in The Age Good Food Guide within days of starting up the restaurant. Excellent wine list. Despite all this not overly expensive. Even the breakfasts are sublime. The photos of his creations do not lie. They are wonderful. Comfortable rooms, some with spas and doors that open out onto the balcony and provide breathtaking views over the Wombat Forest. Short walk through forest to the Hepburn Spa.Thoroughly recommend for a tree change weekend that will leave you totally relaxed and supply a memorable experience of the area's gourmet regional produce.
