I visit Optus at North Ryde Macquarie Centre for help regarding my new SIM. The guy took my details and saw on the screen. But later on he was not helpful and I get upset and leave. Next day I start to get scam calls about internet provider which I never ask for. This scam only happens after I visited Optus. Be aware.

Just a display" shop to sell you devices and services!! They're literally the largest telecommunication store in the Macquarie Shopping Centre but those staff members are very useless and miserable when you ask help for a service that they provide to you!!! So disappointed with the service quality Optus!!... and even more for exposing your customers details to hackers! I have 4 handsets and an NBN home internet but will transfer all to another provider not only for much better services but also much better prices. Gladly goodbye Optus"

Terrible service! I already made up my mind to go for a new iphone contract with Optus. Just went to the store and thought everything's gonna be simple. First the staff asked me for my ID, which I didn't bring with me, and they didn't accept the soft copy. Such a ridiculous 'security' check after they were hacked and customers' data were leak.After coming back in a later time, I tried to use the same plan I have for now, but the staff said the plan didn't exist any more, and tried to sell me another plan which is more expensive. And he couldn't provide any discount for me, though I've been with Optus for more than 10 years. I asked him about the Equifax offer Optus offers as compensation for data leak, and told him I couldn't activate online. He said it has to be done in store. When I asked him to get it for me, he then said he had to call customer service to do it, and the store cannot do it. While I was waiting for his response, he was talking to others like I was talking to him. Finally I wasn't happy and decided to leave, I asked him to give me a information sheet for the contract I want to go for. He just said: 'look, everything is online, you can find it by yourself'. Seriously I've never met any retail staff who talks to a customer like this. It feels like he didn't want to do his job.Later, I called the Optus customer service line, and they offered me a discount for my plan, and I signed the contract for a new iphone. Feels quite pitty for Optus MQ, which occupies a large space, but cannot provide proper customer service, and actually turned me away. Will never go to the store anymore.

Is there a minus 1 rating? Optus has gone down the hill and turned into a scam.. had 3 service which they separated into different accounts I can't even see and their accounts charge extra for internet usage and tell me I'm overdue on 1 bill...

Optus is worst when it comes to supporting customers. When persuading you to sign contract with them, they are the nicest. But when dealing with problems .... . They are currntly doing some service works in my area and have simply ruined my internet for the last couple of weeks. It is so irrisponsible to do such maintenance works in the middle of the day and leave no option for customers who rely on internet while working from home. Definitly do not recomend them.

The Shop itself is nice. When staff are available they are helpful and friendly but they are often busy and wait times are long. Their products are satisfactory but coverage more limited than other provider and their call centres are bad...like all telecommunication providers.
