S+S Hair.Beauty Strathpine

Last night I had a hair cut and colour by Brittany. She was so knowledgeable of colour matching, and her attention to detail with my cut was unbelievable. She was so lovely to talk to and I couldn’t recommend her highly enough. I just moved to the area and I just found my new hair stylist!!

Donna, Brittany and the team are absolutely fantastic, I have been going to S & S Strathpine for the better half of a year and they nail it every-time, my hair has been getting more compliments than ever and I make sure to tell everyone where I went. My friends and family have also started seeing the team at Strathpine and the positive results just keep on coming. Highly recommend! 10/10

Worst experience at a hairdressers. Started with a staff member going to take the chair I hadn't yet sat on, sent me back to the girl at the service counter who took me back to another chair. Numerous people came to ask me what I was having done to my hair and I explained specifically what I wanted. Eventually I was told that there was confusion because there was another Robyn booked in that wanted something completely different. I explained I had booked online and given specific details of the hair care I needed. Next problem was when the alarm went off indicating my hair colour was done and I waited for 10 minutes before alerting someone about the timer. Apparently the basins were all full. When I finally started to have my hair rinsed the girl repeatedly scratched my neck with me alerting her each time. She apologised and by the 4th scratch I told her to stop and requested someone else complete my hair (she wore a bracelet with charms that probably was the problem). Finally when getting my hair cut I informed the hairdresser that I wanted my hair layered with 3 different layers down showing her where the 1st and 2nd layer would be. She layers around the end of my hair so I showed her again what I wanted. 4th time she finally understood that my hair should have 3 distinct lengths spread out across my head and not just at the bottom of my hair.I finally came out with a decent colour and style but it left a sour taste in my mouth.This is the second bad experience with them, the first being the wrong colour in my hair but they did invite me back to fix that. Needless to say, I won't subject myself to a 3rd horror visit.

Took my little girl for a haircut today. Amazing! Donna looked after my 3-year-old daughter no differently than she would have an adult! After her haircut, she watched her hair at one the the sinks with proper shampoo and conditioner, and then blow dried her hair! Thank you so much for treating my little girl like a grown-up - we both loved it!

I got my eye brows waxed here today. I asked for a tidy, little did I know the lady who took me in was an apprentice ( she didn't say she was at the counter). Not one supervisor came over to assist her, so during the wax I noticed something wasn't right. She used tweezers to pull the not set wax off my face and when I asked to view what she took off she ignored me. I left with wax all over my face and very uneven eyebrows... I find it super unprofessional that I wasn't told from the start the she wasn't fully trained, I would have opted out and waited for someone who was. I spoke to the manager on duty who didn't offer anything other than a regional number for head office.I'm now suffering at home with major bruising on my eye lids. Here are photos of it. I'm not complaining so much about how uneven they are, as we all have to learn.

Price point was great but I had a few issues that will make me not want to return at this stage. The lady who did my hair was very rough and threw the clippers and such into the trolley when done. I am going to guess this may be one reason why the clippers used were very blunt and pulled my hair. She also was rather rough when using them and I copped a few bumps to the head. The blending is not great and some pretty heavy weight lines have been left. It's a shame I had this experience as I know that the place has better potential. I hope this is taken as feedback
