Thunderbolt Inn (The Bottom Pub)

Absolutely amazing.Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable.The room was very clean and comfortable, the food was delicious and within budget.Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend :)

Very pleasantly surprised. After a few years absence we decided to have lunch. The servings were delicious and super generous. The staff were pleasant and attentive. We had the Cajun chicken burger and salt and pepper squid salad. I would definitely recommend you give it a visit.

Cold drink and a welcome smile.I stayed in room 6 and had a great night sleep, the bed was very comfy and even though the room faced the main Street it was quiet enough to get a good rest.Shower was good pressure.Overall I would easily recommend a stop over and feel sure it's my new local hotel.

Whilst staying two nights in Uralla on a motorcycling holiday with a large group of 20 motorcyclists, the Bottom Pub was where we booked for dinner the first night. The meals came out very quickly, were absolutely delicious and we were so impressed we went back the second night. Very helpful friendly staff and it was lovely mixing and chatting with the locals. Great location and can highly recommend this pub.

Service was nice when we arrived and paying for food and drinks. Food was terrible. Steak was cold in the middle, and blue. Lamb cutlet was still bleeding. Bacon was hardly cooked. Eggs were sorely under fried. $24 x 2 down the toilet, literally. Couldn’t find a staff member to give feedback, but they might have noticed the plate with all the raw food I hadn’t eaten. My friend and I both got the mixed grill and were sick for a couple of days after.

Stayed here at the beginning of riding the Oxley Highway. Staff were great, food was tasty and reasonably priced. The room was clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom also clean and well kept. What a lovely area!

Hi Guys, Stayed the night, rooms 2 & 3. these rooms face the main drag so we listened to stock trucks ALL night. This was our first time in Uralla so we'll chalk it up as experience.5 Stars for the food, Beverages, staff, facilities and service. We'd definitely visit again but sleeping over NO WAY:)

Service and food was great! Staff were amazing, unfortunately while a staff member was trying to sign our table up for the members draw she was spoken to appallingly by an older gentlemen who im assuming has a manager role in front of us all, not only was this embarrassing for all involved it was a real shame to see how the staff member was spoken too.

I could stay in a tent and be happy...and I often do...and am! For night one of my 6 day trip, I ended up in Uralla and decided that a pub stay was warranted. Thunderbolt Inn had the classic look and I decided this was the one. I was offered a room with and en suite and thought WHY NOT?...$15 more than one without. This room was beautiful. Probably should have brought the wife along. She would have loved it, and she has high standards. The heater warmed the room...i don't recall if there was a TV...yes there was! The staff were welcoming and friendly and the meal I had was very nice. An American-style burger, I believe. Can't fault this place. Actually...the only thing it was lacking (and this is just me) is a table and chair, like a desk, so I could set up my laptop and do some work." I did that at the table in the pub while having my dinner. You could stay in a motel and have a room with no ambiance and pay so much more. Just stay here!"
