Billson's Soda Bar

Great little non-alcoholic bar featuring Billson’s finest cordial mixes. Aaron behind the bar was super friendly. Great little place to stop for a milkshake with our little one.

Soda bar with a bit more on the cocktail front after 5:30pm. If you do arrive earlier the spider and shakes are divine - takes you back to when you were a kid. The pine lime milkshake was a winner for me. Ed. came back for a drink in the evening. Dinner menu looks interesting, but settled in for a cocktail and dessert. Both well worth it.

I was nervous about making a 3hr trip to Beechworth to do the Billson’s Brewery tour. But the tour was brilliant, the tastings were fantastic, lunch was delicious, and around the corner at this Soda bar we had a ball at the speak easy hidden cocktail bar. Why? #1 the service. Seriously could not fault the customer service at both establishments. #2 the product is great. Food and drinks. #3 it was just impressive overall seeing what they have done as a business in such a small amount of time. I can’t recommend a day with Billson’s more.

This little speakeasy joint has been one of my favourite dining experiences in all of Australia. An inconspicuous soda bar which served more varieties of soda than you could literally imagine, was only the gateway into a sophisticated and perfect dining experience. Not only were staff friendly, attentive, and professional, the food was immaculate in all facets. Not a single dish was less than exact and delicious, and we left feeling like we had experienced dining at it’s perfection. 10/10

Had such an awesome dining experience here! We were initially drawn into Billson’s by the neat rows of colourful glass soda bottles with every flavour imaginable - we tried pine lime, chilli punch and fruit tangle (all delicious and only $3.50 each), but when we found out about the speakeasy we knew we had to try the full experience. We booked in for dinner with the super friendly staff and enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve ever had!! Everything was perfect - the lighting, the music volume, the food, the drinks and the service. Can’t wait to return to Beechworth to visit this place again! :)

This unexpected gem only opened two months ago. A small space but so well done. Worth the visit to admire the internal roof alone! Friendly stuff and plenty of colourful drinks for kids and adults alike. Great fun.

This is not just a venue - it is an experience. It is actually hard to write a review without spoiling the experience. It is akin to having gone to see The Mousetrap and then writing a review that reveals the ending.Yes this is a soda, bar.... but it is actually more provided you know the secret. Go to the Billsons website and you will see the page for the soda bar with a small innocuous button at the bottom asking if you were looking for something else and whether you have the password. It is like Alice falling down the rabbit hole. Billsons have done this so well.Regarding the soda bar - it's great. Family friendly, everything alcohol free. The decor is spot on. The staff are not just staff - to borrow a term from the Disney theme parks these people are better referred to as cast members.Now - if you know the secret though a whole new experience opens to you. A wonderful dining experience where what you can enjoy is a tour desk force of local produce. Yes, you now can buy alcohol in this hidden world but once again it is not just a drink - it is experience.Of course no one is ever seen leaving this hidden gem, such is the attention to detail.Hopefully this review has piqued your curiosity without spoiling the surprises too much. It is now up to you to discover the secret.

Deluxe drinks at $12 each were small and in a plastic cup. Flavour was fine but experience and price did not (IMO) align. Limited seating/space inside. Not sure why other reviews here mention food and/or alcohol as the soda bar is non-alcohol drinks only.
