City Movers

DO NOT USE. This company accidently damaged the tiles in my apartment THEN spilled water from my plants in the carpet of the foyer of my apartment block and kept going. The rudest woman if you have a problem has told me they ARE NOT INSURED!! I have lost my bond will be seeing them in QCAT they REFUSE TO RESPOND!! The most expensive move of my life with so many companies to choose from give this one a miss. DISGUSTED!!!!!!!

Good work. The guys moved my stuff carefully and without any damage. They worked hard to get the job done and lost never their friendliness. Also cost wise a recommendation

I wish I could give separate star to the people who did the job and to the company. The guys were really good and stuck around to do the job. The company however was a total disaster. I strongly recommend you to stay away from them.They are very responsive until they get the job and then they don't respond to texts or calls.We booked two trucks for 7am and 9am and got confirmation from the company 3 times right until the day before the job. We were given guarantee that our stuff would be out by 11am! On the day only one truck showed up at 8:30 and did not respond to our multiple calls or texts about the whereabouts of the second truck. We had to move the settlement twice! Once to 1:30pm and then to 4pm only having our stuff out by 3:45 in the driveway.This turned out to be the most stressful day of our live thanks to this company!!!We have done house moves many times before and this was the most unprofessional experience ever.I must say however, the guys who come to do the job were great. They were dedicated and hard working. Although, once we realised there may not be a second truck, we asked them to send a 3rd man to come and help. We are so happy we did that, otherwise, we would have been able to meet the deadline of settlement and would have to cop a $3000 penalty.

Jaz and his colleague were amazing. They were extremely polite and worked so hard and fast and knew exactly how to handle the loads and manoeuvre them into our new premises. I will definitely use this company again.

Do not recommend. After shopping around for weeks we decided to go with City Movers based on the reviews. Our experience was not great. We were told a price per hour and I was told there are no extra charges at all. When the job was finished I was asked to pay on the spot (last time I was sent an invoice (different company)), that's fine so I got out my eftpos card then I was charge GST on top because I didn't pay cash. I was not told about the GST at all if I didn't pay cash. Then was inside and started to unpack I noticed a decent dent on the front of our fridge. I contact them straight away and I was told they would make arrangements to have it fixed and have since been ghosted despite trying to contact them a number of times!!!! Not impressed at all.

I used these guys to move my house. Initially we agreed on certain amount then when they bring the furniture to the destination, they asked more than the agreed amount by more than 1000 $They caused scratch in my freeze and refrigerator bodyI don't recommend them for anyonethey offer you cheaper price but they miscalculate and ask for moreI would rather higher more professional removals with same price but i least I get my furniture safe

3hrs late with no communication, then when they finally arrived they damaged several pieces of furniture and just dumped it in random rooms. When I was inquiring about where the truck was the customer service woman, Tayana, was a miserable cow who claimed my phone didn't work and told me thats life, I should hire another company if I don't want to wait an extra 3hrs. Absolutely would not recommend.

Jazz the City Movers owner quoted 5hrs @ $109 p/h via Oneflare website, I was charged by demand payment $3,400.00 at 10.20pm 27th Sep 2020, felt harassed and intimidated. To date have not received the promised invoice/receipt. Jazz also asked me private personal inappropriate questions which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Have reported him to appropriate bodies, investigations are ongoing. The workers were extremely slow took many breaks. One sentimental large vase was broken and just left in garden with Jazz saying. Ah that's too old its no good". My expensive treasured personal items have been just dumped in the garage one on top to the other

Had a great experience with City Movers. Ricky and Deep were our removalists and the guys were so careful, skilful at fitting everything in and they did not stop moving!! With so many stairs at both ends it would have been an awful job but they kept a smile the whole time. They deserve a bloody good bonus for that move. This was my fourth time moving house and had the best experience with CITY MOVERS, Boys did a great job with handling stuff carefully and finish the job in less than 4 hours which I paid for 7 hours for the same stuff last time to CBD movers. The best thing is there’s no EXTRA CHARGES.Highly recommendedThanks
