Pellegrini's Italian Orange
We waited so long for our drinks which didn’t come until after our entrees. One steak was very rare on the bone which was cold. Asked for dessert menu then waited for over 15 minutes and no one came back to see if we wanted any. They missed out on 3 desserts. So I got up and paid. This is the second time we have been here and won’t be in a hurry to go back unfortunately. Also staff need to be trained on how to serve people. Leaning over customers at the table is rude.

Love the food and the staff were super attentive despite our 10 ppl reservation and the rush of a Saturday night. Recommend this for both family and friends to dine in!!

Service was good not great some new staff on so I would think normally service would be excellent.Pizza was very good, pasta nice, but the steak was really next level excellent one of the top five steaks I’ve ever had.Great place to have dinner but very busy if you’re after something abut more intermittent.

Pretty average, there is 3 parts to this place, 1 the bar. the bar is good well made drinks.2. the kitchen, the food coming out of the kitchen is good.3. the pizza oven. the pizzas here are really really bad. despite having a huge woodfire oven it seems they dont know how to use it. with soft doughy bases and undercooked soggy toppings… i can make a better pizza in my oven at home

I would have given a better rating if it had not been for the appaling terms and conditions of the booking service (Sevenrooms). The $25/person penalty together with a 24hr notice of cancellation is not acceptable. This is nothing more than exploitation.I expect that you will tell me that this is standard industry practice, but that doesn't make it right and it doesn't pass the 'pub test' especially in regional areas.

Fantastic food and professional staff.I went on a date night with my wife where we booked online which was quick and convenient.Food is well priced for the quality. I had a fantastic steak cooked exactly to my liking. The cocktails were delicious. The place can be a little loud but that is only a small issue.

The food is just average. However we were having a nice evening with friends which was kind of ruined by the appalling comment our waiter made tonight. I think he was an Italian guy, but it was beyond rude to tell a customer that “you aren’t the only table I have to serve” when he was politely asked if he could take a plate away. It came off unprofessional and just rude. My friend wanted to avoid asking him for anything else all evening and was getting up to get napkins and forks to avoid asking for anything after that. It was quite upsetting especially as they were only visiting Orange for a few days and a really unpleasant way to end their stay. We also informed the manager (not sure if he was actually a manager but seemed to be on the night) of what happened but he didn’t really seem to care . Nonetheless would not recommend and wouldn’t come back based on average Italian food and rude service we received. In response to your reply below:Firstly, I would like start by clarifying some of the false statements you made- our group of 6 adults and 3 children were by no measure loud as you mentioned. If you have a problem with children or large groups just talking amongst each other, then maybe revisit your policy to not welcome groups and children if you can’t handle the noise that comes from such a group.Second, no one was rude to the waiter. He was the one who was rude and it’s definitely not “funny” to say to that to a customer. The fact that you have tried to justify his rude behaviour as such shows that you have no idea what good customer service entails or basic manners to be frank. He could have simply asked us to wait if he was busy and we would have happily obliged. Also, we were definitely not demanding. We asked him to take away a side plate and asked for a fork and spoon for a shared salad bowl that was not provided as it should be when it was brought out. Moreover, I will add that this is not the first time I have visited your establishment but it will certainly be the last. The first time I visited the food was equally average and the service was slow, but I wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt and see if improvements had been made given the restaurant was new when I visited the first time, but it is very obvious from your reply that you have no clue what hospitality, customer service or good Italian food is.Your reply is shameful and this is coming from a group who knows the hospitality industry very well and own restaurants and hotels. Learn how to take criticism and educate yourself on the very basics of hospitality. Also, maybe roster another staff member so your waiter doesn’t feel overwhelmed and snaps at patrons for very basic requests.Ciao!

We expected good food here as we had passed on Friday and Saturday night and the place was packed. We ordered seafood risotto, lasagne and rocket salad. The lasagne looked nice when the plate arrived after the seafood risotto which was a surprise as we expected the risotto would take longer with the seafood it contained. The lasagne was cold, had obviously not been reheated enough in their microwave. The rocket salad had no Parmesan so was quite tasteless. The waiter did apologise and blamed the junior chef, they should be supervised. They offered to make another however I was put off after the experience of what I believe I saw behind the servery, won’t go further into that. The Risotto was a good choice according to my hubby. They did offer free desserts but we declined. They did discount the bill so thanks for that. Sadly, we were visitors to the area and would not go there again on our next trip.

We attended tonight for dinner service, we had made a reservation online for 3 people, when arriving we were promptly seated, we had ordered food and drinks. This is where the service went down hill quickly. The waiters never returned to take additional drink orders. When the food came out, I had ordered the Fettuccine Sciulina, there were no prawns in my pasta, where the menu states there are prawns in this dish. The waiter returned the dish to the kitchen. Approximately 15-20 minutes later my dish came back out, still with no prawns. The group I was dining with had already finished dinner and at this point I ate my meal as I wasn’t willing to wait another 20 or so minutes. To note the restaurant did not charge for this dish, and for that I thank them. The table dining next to us had the same issue of not receiving prawns in the Sciulina dish, and had also sent the meal back. The person I believe to be the manager did attempt to pass off an excuse about a large group coming in prior to us arriving, however if you do not have the ingredients for the dish please make this known when ordering, if I knew this was the case I would have ordered something else and avoided the ordeal. With regards to the kitchen, if people are sending a dish back please ensure you are fixing the issue. It is very frustrating to wait additional time for the issue to not be resolved .The food itself was nice, however the quality control and service has a lot of room for improvement.
