Tables aren't wiped regularly, They should be cleaned after every customer, especially when staff are obviously not busy and twiddling their fingers, Total HEALTH HAZARD.

I have never written a poor review before but I do hope it's taken as constructive criticism so the cafe can improve. We waited 50 minutes for food with our young children. When it arrived, the schnitzel was tiny (and overcooked), the gravy was missing, there was no follow up and when I asked about the gravy it took another 10 minutes to come, by which time the rest of the meal was cold. It didn't feel like there was anyone in charge, just lots of staff not really sure what they are doing. Unfortunate because the cafe (before it changed hands) used to be amazing.

Had the B&E roll with Coffee special.Brilliant value for money $9. The food was superb and the Coffee was excellent. Spacious bright and airy dining area with accessible toilets and super quick service. Will be back.

Having just been newly created/opened this is a great country shop"! It is more than just a fruit and vegetable stop. They have great breads and lots n lots of different brand name products. Their range is quite extensive and their prices are very competitive. It's more like a country supermarket.....with t difference. Stop by...you will be pleasantly surprised."

Ok so I'm giving the Marketplace 4.5 starts and the Cafe side -2.5 stars.I normally wouldn't give a negative review but I feel like they need the wake up call. Attached will be a photo of a smashed avocado for take away and a hash brown eggs benny. The tost is burnt the avocado is not smashed its scrapped. I put Vegemite on tost thicker. For the Benny eggs over cooked and bacon burnt hash browns are tiny and appear to be from a kids bag.You're a Cafe in the Adelaide Hills, food and wine country. Wake up and do better because that's pathetic. The market place is full of top quality foods and you serve food made so bad that it would fail a high school cooking class.

Went to the Marketplace Kitchen for some breakfast and ordered the Hashbrown Bennedict. Hashbrowns were oily, mushy and fell apart. The oil also tasted very old and the hashbrowns are clearly from a packet frozen. With the fresh produce at the market next door i'd expect a lot more from this cafe, especially also considering the price.Get some potatos and make a homemade hash (potato prices are high at the moment though) or even just grabbing a fresh bread roll from next door would make the meal worth the money and save some dissapointment.Coffee was good though.

First time I came here about a year ago I wasn’t impressed with the coffee so didn’t come back until recently… and my experience was SO different! So we’ve been back a few times in the last 10 days and had excellent coffee, lovely service and tasty inexpensive food. Always easy to park, open every day and until about 4pm when others have closed hours ago. Fav Barista does perfect extra frothy and extra choc cappuccino!

Bacon/egg/coffee deal... $9 = good price but need to consider vegetarians and swap out bacon for a hash brown when asked (i.e. on 25/3/23)... not continue to charge $9 for egg roll and coffee (without bacon). update....lo and behold after being told they could not add" to the meal deal

Ordered 3 take away coffees & asked to make one off the Coffee mid not full because I wanted strong but as the barista was busy chitchatting with other staff first in the kitchen and once finally she came out to make coffees she got busy again chitchatting & made all the coffees in a cup and when other staff told her this order is a take away she just simply poured them in take away cup & throw the half of other coffee in the sink to make it mid full so made the coffee even weaker that it supposed to be which I asked to be strong.Pretty disgusted by their service. Will not go back
