Giles was an absolute superstar. We were in a tight spot with our car going into 'limp' mode for reasons unknown to us. We rang around a few places and were told the earliest we could get the car seen was 2 weeks to a month. Not only was Giles able to get us in immediately, he was able to diagnose and get the required parts for it to be fixed within the same day. He was extremely professional and now the car is running perfectly. Being new to the area, we are so happy to have come across Your Local Mechanic and can't imagine taking either of our cars anywhere else in the future.

Good old fashioned service, which most mechanics lack. Giles is honest about what is repaired on your car and what also needs attention at next service. Very knowledgeable about European cars. Will definitely be taking my car back for a service again.

Best mechanic I have ever been to. Really friendly, explained everything clearly including sending photos of parts that needed replacing, checked my car really thoroughly and quickly and very reasonable cost. Also took the time to explain other ongoing tips with my car. Definitely recommend avoiding big dealerships and going here instead!

I was recommended to speak with Giles regarding a Volvo XC70 d5 I had recently purchased, previous owner had not had service actions completed by Volvo which were now no longer offered by Volvo. Giles was able to complete the service action, I would recommend Giles for all your Volvo servicing needs, his knowledge and skills are excellent. Great to see an independant Volvo specialist in the Western part of Victoria.
