I cannot recommend Project Snail enough for ceramicists of all levels! I started as a beginner and completed the introductory course, which was well structured and comprehensive, covering all stages of the making process. I attend the Project Sessions where I continue to learn so much. The owner and team have a wealth of knowledge and skill they generously share to the students. They are very attentive to practising students and help to improve technique when needed. I find the classes to be great value, you can practise throwing as much as you like and firing is charged separately. The classes and environment support self-paced learning. The studio is well equipped and maintained, there is a lot of care given to the space which makes creating very enjoyable. Project Snail is a joyful, humble and creative ceramic community I absolutely love.

I'd recommend a session with Project Snail to anyone looking for a creative, meditative hobby. I started with the Deep Dive course late in the year and have become obsessed, following up with multiple Project sessions since. The instructors are wonderful and good-humoured, making learning a lot less daunting. It also helps that the studio is a really lovely space with a wonderful community.

Super fun class, Daegon is very knowledgeable and explains the throwing technique well so you are able to create a nice little piece or two within 2 hours. Small, intimate studio at a good price, would come again! Cheers :)

The concept is really great but our instructor, Cass was rushing our group and not appreciative and patient that the class did not have much experience in pottery or clay work. There was a very rude tone and telling off when someone got things wrong and if we weren’t doing things the right way.I understand it is a 2 hour session, but rushing us at the end creates a really nervous energy in the room and perhaps time managing the earlier parts of the session would prevent us from having to speed up in the end with our pieces which we shouldn’t have to do when we are paying for them.We were also made to stay back for around 15-20 minutes arterial the session time ended to clean up when other studios don’t force us to do this afterwards and it isn’t included as part of our time or session when you make the booking. This makes it difficult when we have other plans or reservations. The concept is really great but would help to make the classes more welcoming, fun and time manage. And speak to us nicely because we are paying for a service!

I completed the Intro Course with Project Snail and it was really wonderful. Daegeon is a fantastic instructor - so friendly (setting up tea and biscuits for our glazing session) and helpful guidance to create wonderful pieces. If you're starting out on the wheel Project Snail is a great place to start as the whole process is explained thoroughly and you finish feeling confident in future work. I'll be returning for their Project Sessions that's for sure :)

Project Snail has a great atmosphere, wonderful people and experienced teachers. Daegon is such a character and makes you feel welcomed, teaches well and also gives you a few laughs along the way. Have been going for a few years now and it’s been a great learning experience :)

I did the experience session in January with my partner. I must say the studio is really nice and the location convenient. It was the first time we tried pottery and thought the session was meant to be fun in a safe environment. Unfortunately, Cass didn’t make it easy. She was not very patient with us and made our night pretty uncomfortable. I understand she is new at teaching and maybe she is not aware that some people don’t have the skills and come here for the first time to have a good time. We really tried our best but Cass didn’t make us feel good enough. I hope that with time she can learn how to be more patient and teach beginners on a stress free environment :)
