Low Head Tourist Park

It's pretty clear the money in this park has been spent on those that use powered sites. As a camper, I was disappointed with the lack of facilities/condition of facilities for campers. I've stayed at free camp grounds that offered better facilities, other than the showers. A sign in the shower and toilets eluded to them being cleaning daily, they were not cleaned in the 3 days I was there. Virtually none of the exterior lighting in the camp area worked, appeared to be disconnected in the BBQ hut and not functioning correctly in the outside sink/wash area. When I asked about kitchen facilities, I was told there was a fridge and microwave in the laundry but there is a full kitchen over where the powered sites are, I discovered while exploring looking for a kettle. No cleaning cleaning supplies for benches etc., as I've normally seen in other parks and lots of other parks supply basic bbq utensils for the price charged. I'll trade the East camp grounds next time.*update/reply. The powered camps on the south side were virtually empty, the camp site was not bisy and I was the only camper in the unpowred area. The$4000 dryer you mentioned had signage indicating it was out of service during my stay. Bins in toilet facilities were not emptied and no evidence of cleaning occurred. I used the switch for the light in the outside wash area and it flickered and did not turn on.

Location excellent..camping grounds well maintained..friendly atmosphere..easy access to beach..path walks and Georgetown. Highly recommend!

Flights were delayed arrived feeling exhausted, we entered the office and were greeted with a friendly smile, Paul took the time to show us the accommodation. It was good old fashioned friendly service, will definetly choose to stay again.

Great well maintained place to stay. Had a powered ensuite site. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Dog friendly which is big plus. Quiet evenings however we did have 3 van sites away a noisy neighbour who let dogs run around unleashed chasing wildlife at night and used high noise vacuum cleaner on what would have been a peaceful Sunday morning. NOT park's fault but tells you about other fellow vanners courtesy for others or abuse of park rules. Good area to use as a base for many other attractions in the north east region of Tasmania. Well done. 5 Stars.

Really tidy little park, fantastic location, great camp kitchen. But disappointed in not having a good hot shower, and shower head.

Plenty of room clean on-site and modern facilities handy to our needs

Quiet and comfortable. Conveniently located near several scenic attractions around the GeorgeTown and Low Head historical areas. Staff are friendly and courteous and the accommodation rates are reasonable. Having stayed for 3 nights, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Lovely, quiet little place to stay. The cabins were very clean and neat and Sarah, our host, was so helpful and nice. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Good large areas and level bitumen section for vans. Facility's seem to be updated recently and very clean. Good spot for a night or two and too far from the shops.

Got 5 star because it is a beautiful spot great staff and the inside of the cabins are absolutely wonderful, extremely laid back relaxed and friendly part of the world, we will be going back when I need a little break again, thanks for the wonderful weekend
