Joanne Armstrong from Wild Heart Celebrations is an exceptional Margaret River/ South West celebrant. Joanne recently did the ceremony for our wedding in Yallingup and her performance was the perfect combination of thoughful, funny, sincere and light-hearted. She puts her heart and soul into her ceremonies and our friends and families were highly engaged and entertained throughout the wedding. In the lead up to the wedding Joanne was there whenever we needed her and was very thorough in getting all of our paperwork done ahead of time. On the day she was highly organised and put us completely at ease during one of the biggest moments of our life. Joanne' is a free spirit! She has a unique style not not stymied by the stuffiness of tradition. We had an totally fabulous ceremony which everybody enjoyed and no one will forget!!We laughed, we cheered and yes even shed a tear at her heartfelt words. After our first phone call with Jo we knew she was the celebrant for us. Jo is so real and down to earth. She is quirky, funny, warm and loving. From the first conversation, Jo was very clear about her style, what she offers as a celebrant and what’s expected of the couple. She made the ceremony relaxed and funny, like laugh out loud funny. We chose Jo to share one of the most important moments in our lives and we feel like we’ve made a friend for life. Although I sort of feel like Jo chose us.And she rescues animals. My wife and I had the pleasure of getting married earlier this year in Margaret Rive where we first met. I was looking for a celebrant to officiate our ceremony and stumbled across Joanne Armstrong. She was brilliant from go to wo. No panic attack was too big or issue too small for her to handle with aplomb. She was in constant contact with me leading up to the event, walking me through the process step by step and happily putting up with my endless questions and nagging. She drove out to accommodation and ran a rehearsal the night before so we knew what to expect on the day. On the day she handled the occasion with professionalism and catered to all guests of various ages and faiths. She was respectful to all people present, while officiating with expertise she still remained understated and didn’t steal the show from the event itself. We couldn’t be happier with the service she provided. We recommend her highly.

Jo is the kind of celebrant you wish for. She goes above and beyond to form a relationship, and personalise your day even more. She eloquent, friendly, cheeky, sweet and moving. Her incredible heart shows through the entire ceremony, and every single person at my wedding commented on how she ‘didn’t drone’ and how ‘personal’ the wedding was. She made everyone feel special, and included. Welcoming and warm, she made the day that much more amazing. Highly recommended doesn’t begin to cover it, don’t use anyone else. There is only Jo!

When Ash and I got engaged we said we wanted our wedding day -ceremony and reception to be us. We wanted it to be personal and fun. We were lucky enough to find Joanne Armstrong to be our celebrant. She really made us reflect on our personalities and having those shine through the ceremony. She encouraged us to be ourselves and remember it was really about us, we wrote our own vows and honestly that is my favourite part of our wedding, it took a little time but Joanne walked us through it helped me really say what was in my heart.She made the happiest and best day of our lives so easy, she relaxed us, helped us centre and refocus with all the emotion and people around us. Our families and friends kept saying how amazing is Jo she was so wonderful, funny and creative through the ceremony. They made a point of telling us over and over it was the best ceremony’s and celebrant they had experienced.When Jo asked us for all of the information about us we were a bit apprehensive and unsure, however we trusted the process and it was amazing to really tell our journey and share our special memories and moments with our friends and family. The day was exactly what we wanted a fun, intimate, relaxed and different day. Joanne really was central to helping us achieve this she also made it clear that she was on the journey with Ash and I through our engagement while planning the wedding sharing moments of excitement when my dress arrived when Ash picked his suit, when family was arriving from the uk and of course coaching us with our vows and really there to be a huge support. She played a huge personal part in our beginning and we are so thankful and blessed to have had her by our sides!We can’t recommend her enough! Thank you Joanne! Xx

Joanne was our celebrant for our wedding a few weeks ago in Dec 2019 and we could not have been happier with her approach to our ceremony and her casual (and blunt) nature!Joanne met us and our bridal party the day before for a run through of the ceremony and even in the run through she put us at ease telling us to remember to be ourselves and making amazing suggestions like that the bridesmaids should greet the groom as they normally would when they process down the aisle rather than totally ignoring him which makes so much sense but I have never seen that done before.Jo is all about the little details, for example “getting out of the way” as she put it when we did our vows which was beautiful and means we got photos and video of just the two of us doing our vows (pic below). It’s that kind of little thing that really make Jo an awesome wedding celebrant sensational!I was a bit unsure how the older family members would take Joanne’s style but all of our guests sung her praises & said it was such a wonderful and unique ceremony that was so us!Thank you so so much Jo! Well what can I say, if you are wanting your day to be perfect then there is no other choosing in regards to a celebrant. Joanne is wonderful and charismatic. Her thoughtfulness and incredible interpersonal skills have you feeling super comfortable and relaxed as you enter into possibly one of the most intense times in your life.Her attention to detail, sense of humour, passion and drive to make everything perfect for you helps to make the lead up and the day a delightful experience. Our marriage on 21st December 2018 was our second and we really wanted it to be special. We decided to elope to Empire Retreat in Yallingup and the day itself was beautiful.The staff at Empire Retreat knew how great Jo is and recommended her to us. From our first discussion with Jo we knew she was the right choice for us and we are so thankful to have found her to perform our wedding ceremony. There could not have been a more perfect person for the job! Jo gave us heaps of ideas and suggestions and helped with our planning.Jo’s engaging personality and sense of humour really put us at ease. She really made our day special with minimal nerves and tears and plenty of laughs and smiles!! It was like one of our friends delivering the service!It is without any hesitation that we recommend Jo as a celebrant for your special day as she made ours unforgettable.

Joanne was the exact type of person we could have hoped for to help us celebrate our big day. Throughout the whole process her attention to detail was admirable and her genuine compassion second to none. Joanne gave us full control of personalising how the ceremony was presented. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect as I had not been to a wedding before, but the professional 'informality' of the ceremony was fitting, and better than I could have hoped for; entertaining, witty, calm and genuine.On the day we had some uncontrollable events that briefly delayed the start of the ceremony, but Joanne did fantastically to brush it off and make our guests feel comfortable nonetheless.
