TOWNSVILLE SHOWGROUND
The rides and activities are fun, and the food is good but i suggest you don't eat from the food trucks as they have not been cooked freshly and you may get sick. The fireworks are also very nice!

TOWNSVILLE SHOWGROUND
Was a fun experience... and an expensive one too.The atmosphere was perfect, everyone was happy to be at the local show and everyone working the booths and rides were friendly and made it a good one. The rides however couldve been priced a bit better; $15 for 2 minutes is a bit of an outrage... but worth the money nonetheless. Was a good set up and layout and made it seem like the fun was neverending as we kept walking and walking and always saw something to do.

Need more toilets opened. Went there for motor madness, cars were food. All seating is in the hot sun and in hottest part of the day, could have been set up a bit better.

I hadn't been to the Townsville Show in years and a friend gave us some tickets, so we decided to check it out.Thankfully it wasn't too crowded, but it was certainly a hot day and due to COVID restrictions at the time, masks were required to be worn. Thankfully, we didn't see any real complaints about this and visitors seemed to comply well. They had a large range of rides and side show alley mini games. Checked out a few, however this is a costly event. Alley mini games start at $5 with some of your more fancy rides going up to $25. You can prepurchase show tickets with ride coupons/ vouchers to save, but expect to spend a minimum of $100 a person here to enjoy a day out. There was a wide variety of displays as well, such as arts and crafts, baking, poultry, gardening and we even checked out some of the horse jumping events.I did enjoy myself, but I feel that the cost of mini games and rides is too high for a local event, but can understand why due to costs of insurance.FACILITIES:Parking: Not on site, opposite facility has paid parking availableWheelchair Accessible: YesToilets available: YesPAYMENT Options:Cash and Prepaid Coupons.
