Cleaned rooms and cafeteria. Very good service. Staff is good, helpful and decent. Food prepration neat n clean, presentation very good and test wise also good just need to add some more varieties for vegitarian and as per other nationality guests.As Indian, I suggest add some Indian food veg or non veg. Butter chicken available but not everytime u will get.

The afternoon crew on 17/01/23 were absolutely amazing they're 5 stars.The morning crew on 18/02/23 are grumpy and walk around with such sad looks on their faces like they hate their life or something...no one seems to want to answer the phones either and I pressed every department lol.To be honest if I ever stay there again it's only because it's the only and easiest option near Mackay airport.

I’ve stayed at the Ibis MacKay Airport twice over the past 12 months and am pleased to report the my experience has been delightfully consistent. Reception staff are not just friendly and helpful but actually care about their guests! The restaurant has great food, an accommodating chef for special needs. The bar and front of house staff are fantastic. The room was clean and completely adequate for the price point. I’ve had the pleasure of staying in some of the top hotels in the world and rate the Ibis MacKay along side them as a most suitable hotel to stay when excellent service and great value for money is desired.

Very conveniently located at airport (once in your room you don't hear the planes and helicopters). Amazingly friendly staff - with great food and drinks. Rooms were spacious, clean and well maintained. Highly recommend.

4 nights stay here didn't disappoint me at all. Room while simple is always neat and well maintained. The Bar Restaurant serve really good breakfast and dinner! Fillet steak is surprisingly good for a place out of town. So good that I had it for two nights. Breakfast - Pouch egg were professionally done! I could have it everyday without getting bored. Coffee is good.

On the positive side, staff & food were excellent. Room was modern with some big hotel features. Shower was tiny. On the less positive side, bed was way way way too soft and did not sleep at all well (thus this review). At a glance the room appeared clean, however after sitting at the desk for a couple of hours, I noticed that many areas looked like they had never been dusted? Ironing board kept collapsing. Back to the positive, it is literally a 30 second walk to the airport terminal. Overall very nice, but need to invest in new bed(s). Russell. Room 425

oh no waitress virtually threw the dinner plate on the table and turned away so quickly I could not ask for cutlery, got it myself anyway, food was not worth waiting for - disappointing , the place looks ok a bit grubby and the staff are clearly not suited to the work. to return I would need to see a better menu, a cleaner restaurant and a new attitude to staff. cannot recommend to others until this happens.

Very welcoming greeting.Great location and love how there is free parking.I would say if you were on the larger side like me, the shower is not really suited (I had a room where the shower was like an L shaped and when you opened the door it would hit the toilet). I guess this depends on the room you are given maybe.The pillows were comfy but unfortunately the bed wasn’t, it kept moving and had like a removable pillow top on the mattress that would move.I did love that fact that there is blackout blinds and, I could not hear the airplanes.

We have never seen such a small & cramped room here in Australia or when we travelled overseas. Room wasn't clean had to clean remote for tv before we could use it as filthy. Bed was uncomfortable and bottom sheet was useless. Bathroom very small and the shower well lucky we're not tall people as the shower was low and very cramped. Would l recommend people to stay here definitely not.
