Dusty Hill Vineyard

A delightful place to spend a long lunch. We started with a full wine tasting, which at $10 per person may not be to everyone’s liking, but don’t let this put you off. This would have to be one of the best-tasting experiences we’ve had in Australia.Our host was attentive and extremely knowledgeable about each of the wines on offer.We’d booked in for lunch at 12:30 pm but arrived at 11:30 am. This allowed us to work through the whites and reds before heading to lunch, however before heading off we arranged with our host to return after lunch to finish our tasting with the dessert wines.Lunch was quite a surprise with the quality and selection of dishes on offer exceeding our expectations. And while the dessert selection was a little lacking, we found a baked cheesecake to take back to the tasting room to finish off our day.We’d highly recommend this approach for your day at Dusty Hill, just plan to visit on a Friday and not on the weekend, as we don’t think you’d have the same experience on a Saturday or Sunday.

I made a reservation for 3 at Dusty Hill a week ago for my husband's birthday. The location and atmosphere was great. I think they forgot about our reservation though. The waitress/bar staffer after she checked our reservation had to look for a table for us from behind the bar, she pointed out a table from behind the bar in a corner....no reserved sign and not enough cutlery on the table.The Entrees lovely....... 2 of our main meals not so. My daughter had the fish and chips..... There was a very very small handful of chips, 4 peices of battered flathead and slaw. They should have taken the chips out of fish and chips. My meal was the Lamb Shack.... lamb and mint pie with onion marmalade served with peas, mashed potatoes and a gravy. The let down to the meal was the pie. The pastry was nice, the filling not so. I found it tasteless and it looked like something you gave a baby. It wasn't very palatable. I did find one 1 piece of meat that wasn't mush.... The other meal was a rump steak, it was well cooked. In the end a very disappointing evening. Went home and made something to eat.

We had lunch and dinner at Dusty Hill Vineyard recently, the staff were very knowledgeable and attentive! The baked Brie is to die for and the most recent wine varieties are delicious! Venue is a must for both food and accomodation!

Lovely setting, helpful staff and absolutely stunning seafood chowder! Can't wait to go back!

Could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding!The staff are fantastic! They so accommodating with the last minute change due to the heavy rain!The food is 5 star. I highly recommend Dusty Hill Vineyard.

Hi was up there for the 6 band playing.Last Saturday.For 160.00 for two people.We were not happy.No Chardonnay and no free food.Not enough Toilets.All the band members got there early.They were drinking all day.I was watching.Then there was kids just running wild.I saw 3 you kids. Down near the pond. .But the service was great.

The wine is excellent I love the classic red and the white!! The wines are very very good and it keeps me going back over and over!!! The vinery is world class it’s beautiful and moffatdale has breathtaking scenery. This south Burnett area is elevated so the grapes get heaps of sunlight. The wine is excellent. Take a drive and visit the vineyard you will be impressed!!!

Great find in a small town, went 3 times during our 3 day stay in the area. Cheerful, friendly staff welcomed us to look around we had coffee and delicious cake for morning tea. Then came back for dinner, surprisingly busy on a Thursday night. Turns out that was locals night! Warm and cosy with an open fire, delicious food, surprisingly good local wine.

What a lovely place. All the wonderful staff went out of there way to accommodate us and our dog. Found us a place on the lawn and continued to be really attentive though most came to say hello to Ivy our Golden Retriever.Food was great along with the wine and drinks.Thanks again

Its not often we find a winery (and we have visitied many) where we enjoy just about every one of the wines tasted. Service was great even though it was the day after their music festival and the staff would have been tired. A great experience which we will recommend. The only pity was paying for tasting (some wineries offer this free or as a purchase credit) given we took away $300 in wine and also not being able to purchase except at the cellar door.
