The Emerald Room Restaurant
Amazing meals - we had entrees and mains! Steak was beautiful although no greenery.Unfortunately the service was very poor, very slow wait times between arriving and being offered beverages. After dinner plates were cleared, weren't offered desserts until we promoted, after 15 minutes of waiting. Was told there wasn't the dessert we requested and the other dessert was another 15min wait time.Very pleased with meals although service was disappointing as we'd heard lot of great things about the Emerald Room.

Went there for mine and my partner's 5th year anniversary. He's not much of a steak fan, but he says this restaurant turned him! The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. Definitely going back, and bringing friends!

The Emerald Room Restaurant
A really nice setting. On entering it looks quality with ornate table decorations, very clean and fresh looking. There is a shoe polishing machine at the front door for everyone to use, very cute.The menu is comprehensive with a great variety.We had the fish of the day which was gold band snapper with confit potato and broccolini and cherry tomatoes.The second dish was prawn bisque with prawns, fish with croutonsAlso the third dish was rolled lamb shoulder with roast potatoes roast carrots and a carrot purée,Sadly the potatoes seemed recooked as they were ‘powdery’ inside with a tough exterior, they tasted like left over toast potatoes you have the next day.The lamb shoulder was tender with a crispy outer.The meals were really well presented, the chef takes pride in presentation.Staff were friendly and helpful going the extra mile.At one stage the staff member leant over in front of one of us causing her to lean back, the waitress was getting the unnecessary cutlery. This was surprising for such a refined environment.The waitress apologised as she realised what had transpired.Also the restaurant has poor noise attenuation, it was very hard to hear our conversation. Some soft furnishings would help.The reason for the four stars instead of five was the noise, the potatoes and the staff leaning over which is minor really! I would have like to given 4.5 stars.

Lovely staff, great service. Unfortunately the meal descriptions let it down. I ordered steak with roast vegetables so i added what i thought was a side of chips. Dinner came with mostly roast potatoes and a few carrots. The chips arrived and the serve was enormous. Had i known 'roast veg' included mostly potatoes i wouldn't have ordered fries. Fries were left untouched.

Service is good but need to book in advance as we went on Thursday night and it was almost full. The grilled squid is very fresh and tasty. The lamb shoulder is soft but too salty. The grilled local fish is good but too small and dry. Can you believe that it is a whole fish? Compared with the food level and portions, it is pricy in general.

The Emerald Room Restaurant
We have been in WA for 10 days travelling from Perth to Monkey Mia and return - and this was the best dining experience - in particular for seafood - that we have had. The Shark Bay prawns were sensational and the seafood bisque was scrumptious. We also enjoyed the Belgian chocolate lava cake. The chef - whoever he or she is - is a talent. The service was friendly and efficient.

We were wowed by the excellent taste, quality and presentation. Good ambience, good wines, efficient service. The photos don’t do justice to the excellent meals. My colleagues were very positive as to their grilled fish, ribs, beef, lamb.
