It use to be a lovely happy place,no smile from the workers, we went there the other day to get something to eat, ordered 2 pies and hot chips, the pies were pulled out of the fridge and microwaved then put in to the pie heater until the chips were cooked, The pies were still cold though out the pie, there wasn't much in the food warmer to pick from.The pies are usually good from here

Nice atmosphere.Nice food.Wide range of lunch products.All day breakfast.Plenty of desert options.Wide range of softdrinks.Friendly and helpful staff.Reasonably priced.Near by to the Canberra Outlet Centre.

Barista/owner is not friendly at all & don’t expect a smile or thank you from him.Pho I ordered was quite nice but portion was quite small for the price at $17 a pop.Ordered a hot Vietnamese coffee but it was overly sweet with too much condensed milk added & stirred before it was served. The coffee did not taste right at all..Shame really..

Plenty of indoor seating. Filled up pretty quickly at lunch time.Pho serve was generous and was average.Ordered a comination pork roll. Roast pork was dry and crackling was non existent. Good bread roll. Otherwise, an ok banh mi. Premade banh mi's, with chilli's was told no chilli's and it was still there when served.Two people serving so felt like they were doing what they can to make it work.

Never been to a cafe as unwelcoming! after saying good morning to the owners and standing infront of the service area I waited 3-4 minutes before being told I need to order from their till. It was 7am and there was no one else in the cafe so I’m confused but ok. After my coffee was made and placed on the counter I thanked the owner and wished him a good day, he didn’t say anything.If you’re reading this owners, don’t run a shop if you can’t say hello, your coffee was putrid but the worst thing about visiting iron knob bakery was being ignored and feeling like an inconvenience. I hope you shut down soon. I’ve been in Canberra 30 years and congratulations you get the award for worst experience at a cafe

On my second attendance in a few weeks I can say I equally unimpressed as the firstI got a bowl of beef pho, Good flavour. Beef could be more rarehowever the bowls they use are deceiving. You think you’re getting this big bowl of soup when in reality its a massive bowl that is not very deepI used to leave feeling so full I couldn’t walk but that time I walked away still hungryThis time I got the rice paper rolls, flavour is nice but You can tell they’re not as fresh as they could be. The wrapper is dry, dense and more chewy than normalVery disappointing compared to when I used to go there

Dropped im for a quick feed. Grabbed a roast pork roll. It was ok. My wife had chicken dim sim which she said was yummy. Would be nice if they had some background music going.
