Sandstone Caves walking track
Beautiful day. Cool weather to walk the circuit around the caves and acknowledge the history of the caves to the first nation's people. Walking track is looked after. Take your time and leave only your footprint. Toilet and a place to eat. Seats along the circuit.

This is a very interesting and beautiful natural sandstone rocky outcrop which is only accessible by foot from the carpark. It is not suitable for disabled walkers or wheelchairs. It's a 1.7km uneven undulating and rocky round trip walking track from the carpark.

Beautiful caves with Aboriginal carvings, along a lovely walking track. A about 2k round trip, it's easily done by children and delivers great views and rock formations!

Fantastic walk, I believe there are indigenous ranger lead tours through here which would be incredible to experience but I also enjoyed coming through in my own time.Beautiful caves & the views were stunning

Beautiful walk around the circuit. Toilets 700 metres from the car park. Cave were a lot better than I expected. Just off the highway. Worth a visit.

Fabulous walk to see amazing rock formations. This was our second visit this year ... definitely a must see. Some steps but otherwise a moderately easy walk.

Fascinating walk around a sandstone hill sculptured by the wind and rain into a huge series of interconnected caves. The walk is an easy 1.7 kms. This place held great importance for the Aboriginal community. The geology is also amazing.

A hidden gem on the edge of the Pilliga. Like other reviews stated it is not well sign posted to turn off a major highway but worth the stop. Road is unsealed, check weather conditions. There is a toilet on the track, you have to walk about 250m to use it, again not well sign posted. The walk is spectacular. The colours and patterns in the sandstones from years of weathering are intriguing and beautiful. Bird life and flora is diverse. Stop and pause, soak up the historical significance of this landscape.

A great place to visit, not well advertised but easy to find after going to Coonabarabran visitors centre for directions. An easy 1.9klm return walk, well worth a visit.
