Lovely country place, interiors are stunning with the old police station being preserved inside and the cafe around. The prices for pies were more than you would expect at a country bakery though and not the best we have had.

Been stopping here for years and it's always been good, but today the pies were hard as rocks and I burnt myself with the lava like coffee. Sad to see we won't be stopping here in future, very disappointed.

Whilst not fast service (when passing through) - I really enjoyed their coffee! Been through here many a time, and it's definitely worth a stop off on any trip between Melbourne and Adelaide.

This an eclectic cafe in Bordertown. Location is great right next to a small lake where you can stretch your legs and walk the dog.The cafe serves the usual array of coffee and cakes plus ice cream.Plenty of drinks available too.Overall a good place for a pit stop.

The decor when you enter the bakery was very good however, I can say that was the only good thing. The meat pies were old and dried up, virtually inedible. Also the apricot slice was nasty and was atheist 2 or 3 days old. The tables in the dining area was dirty. I would not be returning and I don't recommend anyone goes there

Was alright , not the best . 4.50 for a tea and 30c for tomato sauce is a bit steep . Self serve cleaning up was a bit of a rip off . Asked for a salad roll and said they didn’t have any and then when I sat down w a Turkish chicken and cheese roll ( was alright ) they restocked the salad roll fridge . Not happy :( cute interior tho and a well stocked big variety fridge of drinks

I don't know how this place could get a bad review. Some people are too hard to satisfy. I stopped yesterday and was given the best, most friendly service by both ladies on duty. The price I paid, I thought a mistake had been made it was so cheap!! I was charged 10 times more for the same item back along the track. The unique and welcoming interior was such a surprise. I generally avoid bakeries as I often come away feeling let down but this was an experience that lifted my spirits. All the very best to everyone who is part of this establishment.

Great pies, pasties & sausage rolls! Excellent coffee and cakes too. Absolutely lovely staff. Great pit-stop on the Melbourne-Adelaide route.

Our pie expectations were low, as we have been burnt in the past by other country bakeries. We had a friendly lady serve us and the pies were pretty good - 7/10. Nice place to stop and sit outside for a quick road lunch.
